Graphical Bug... Any fix? (Video Included)

Ok I’ve looked around and can’t seem to find anything about this bug.

I had it in the Demo when it rained and its still in the Full Release game.

Happens mainly at night/low light and its either raining or thunderstorm, the latter being the worst.

I thought it could be sign of maybe a problem with my XBone G/card but so far this is the only game doing this, Destiny and few other games I’ve played don’t seem to have this problem at all. I’m hoping its just a game problem, but I need to find out if its something worse and before November since that’s when my 12 month replacement warranty runs out with the store I bought the console from.

Yeah its a hard copy , thing is I had the same problem with the demo a few weeks back but I put that down to possible bug in the demo.

But its doing it with a retail disc copy too, that video tends to be the worst it’ll get, I got a horrible feeling my G/card in the Xbox one could be faulty and Horizon 2 uses certain combination of lighting effects that makes it apparent since I don’t get this in other games.

Usually if I have problems like this on PC I’d say drivers then faulty g/card, but usually when you get problems like this you tend to find the g/card will cause a “hang” issue too. but I’ve not had any lock ups on the console at all yet.

No haven’t seen any bug like this. This could be a hardware bug.

Well you will be pleased to know that you in fact have a full 2 year hardware warranty at no additional cost.
It is the law that all hardware sold in the EU has a full 2 year warranty. Don’t let the shop or Microsoft lie to you, it is the law across the whole EU. If they say ‘no’ then take it up with their legal department.
It’s crazy the amount of shops that try to sell miss sell extended warranties for a price.

hate to say it mate but your graphics card is starting to go… think about it from the point where I see your issues that’s the most demanding part that would make your graphics card work the hardest… like all other says its not a glich no one has this but if anyone reading this and is starting to see the same issue stop and turn off your system and let it cool down… (FYI your system may seem cool but its your chip on the graphics card needing to cool down) Forza horizon 2 is by far the most advanced game out for the xbox one!, im not sure but there has to be a fix or way to remove your graphics card heat sink and re apply better (newer) thermal paste?

Yeah Laffy33 I have a horrible feeling its the Graphics card too, that is what I’d put it down too if I was having the same trouble with my PC. Its in a well ventilated place (ie good few inches of space above and to the sides of the Xbox One). Just if it is a console problem like it sorted before more games I’ve pre-ordered come out in November :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think its a ventilated issue its just what happens some times… since under warrantee I would not touch it. , I bought mine at day one and once im over my warrantee ill be looing at how to open and beef up the cards cooling. as it looks this is surely only going to get worse as time go on and the games get better and better… :slight_smile:

I’ve opened a ticket with Shopto.net and I’ll look at getting in touch with Xbox Support UK too see what they think.

Hopefully if it is a hardware problem then get it sent off next week, least Borderlands The Pre-Sequel is out next week so that’ll keep me occupied on my PC :stuck_out_tongue:

only issue is that they will if you send it in will not test the system to the limits… so they may say that its fine :frowning: and send it back to you… I work for a computer chain here in Canada and have dealt with videocards for the pc and as I know to test them to the max the mangers have no clue and if they can’t see anything wrong they will not replace it :(. I pray that they would not test yours and just send you back a refurbished one. crossing my fingers for you mate.

Sounds like the console to me to be honest, how can they sayits the game when it happened on the demo as well
