My work consists of three parts. The first (right below) is a list of missing cars that fit the new Forza Motorsport (featured in any Forza title released on Xbox One or newer platforms). The second is a list of cars grouped by ideas for tours and divisions. The third is a list of missing cars that seemingly don’t fit the new vision for FM.
The first list currently contains 396 cars + 52 that have direct replacement and are not needed anymore (although still have fans probably). Those are marked with italics.
I’ve also used bold to highlight 66 essential cars, i.e. models that are potentially most desirable and shouldn’t be missing.
Preliminary notes
- Unlike with lists of missing cars I’ve made for Forza Horizon 5, this time I don’t check vote count from the Suggestions Hub. First, I can see that T10 uses other criteria than PG when determining which cars to add to the game - above all they clearly want to group vehicles into divisions that can be used for tours with fairly balanced competition across numerous different models (more on that later). And the second reason is that regularly updating vote counts for hundreds of cars is a nuisance
- Why not list cars from FM4 and FM3 too? Because they seem much more difficult for T10 to “recycle” than those featured in newer games. If they weren’t, I believe FM5 wouldn’t launch with less than 1/3 of cars included in FM4…
- I’ve marked 49 cars as directly replaced by others but I’m not putting them on the “discarded pile” nonetheless. Why? Well, Rimac Concept Two '19 was supposed to be swapped for Rimac Nevera '21 and yet we have both cars in the game, so… I guess anything can happen
- Although the return of SUVs is not entirely ruled out, I’m putting them among “discarded” cars (albeit highlighted with bold).
- Cars from brands absent due to licensing issues (Rolls-Royce, Ruf, Tesla) are placed on the “discarded pile” as well (not for eternity, I hope).
- I’ll gladly hear your feedback, especially about placing cars among divisions. It was sometimes tricky to consequently choose right ones…
