Glitched Challenge

2.4 Hours D’Endurance - I just did this put my controller down after doing 251 miles for the badge/title and at the end it didn’t unlock. It shows 98% completion on the challenge, but I did all 250 miles. Is there any chance someone can fix this for me, I don’t intend to do it again. Anyways, thanks for the help.

Try again driving 10 miles then parking. Stay until race finishes though.

I’ll give that a try.

I’m pissed now. I spent like 20 minutes lobby surfing until I found a game with 50 mins left. I waited, did some exam review, etc… I come back in time for the race, do a few laps around the track, get 19 miles, some people quit, I’m 3rd/3 people - so I should get a bronze medal. I leave the controller for about an hour and a half and come back to see I’m disconnected from the server. Seriously… I’m done screw these challenges, 2 hours of racing once was far too boring, twice is definitely not worth completing.

If you leave for more than half the race you should get disconnected…

Sounds self-inflicted to me. I believe that once your controller has shut off - as it will after a certain length of time - you only have so long to turn it back on and resume racing; otherwise, your idle activity gets you a disconnect from the server.

I remember when I joined a race once to watch tv and eat a sandwich. I wish this game would always kick people that just sit there.

Wow you guys are all idiots. I did the race once, got the full 251 miles and took a break so that my headache would go away… Seriously shut up 2 hours and 40 mins of one game straight is boring and you can’t deny that. If you do that you are only making a fool of yourself and showing how addicted you are. As for the people saying it’s my fault, how is it my fault that I did the challenge to the required amount of time and didn’t receive. I took up somebody else’s helpful advice and gave another a game a try and people message me saying I’m a pathetic kid (sorry but some idiot sent me hate mail). You guys all sound pathetic (aside from the original poster) and need to do something more productive with your lives, instead of harassing me. Now I have my final exams to study for, so unless someone else has useful advice, please don’t respond.

It’s not boring if you use a car you enjoy driving, so I can easily deny what you’re saying. With a longer track such as Le Mans, I have a hard time seeing how it could get boring unless people only do it for the achievement in a car they don’t enjoy driving.

I don’t see why anyone who has the mindset that an endurance race such as this one is boring would even try it at all.

Calling people idiots because they have a different opinion isn’t going to get you anywhere. It’s pretty childish for someone to pm you tho. .

It seems you are achievement hunting rather than trying to enjoy the game. The 2.4 hours of Le Mans isn’t just running 250 miles on it. If you quit the 2.4 hour race before it’s over (which is what happened when you put the controller down and timed out) you didn’t complete it.

Personally I don’t care about achievements or the gamerscore, I just want to enjoy the game. If I got into a lobby to enjoy a 2.4 hour race and everyone else just parked their cars for the 2.4 hours to get a silly achievement I would be pretty annoyed.

Sorry you feel this way … I probably would as well if I went through all you did. But … it was clearly stated in the event rules that you have to complete the entire event … which is a timed 2.4 hour event … in order to get the achievement. Stopping after 250 miles did not meet the full event requirements.

What a lot of people misread is that I did complete the event. I did the whole event, 251 miles, got all the credits, did not quit or time out the first time. It just didn’t count. So, I re-did it with about 20 miles and then timed out. I apologize for being rather rude- and obviously you understand why. It wasn’t so much that I disconnected, it’s that I literally received multiple messages of hate mail, after the game messed up on me - saying I don’t deserve the challenge, and that I’m a whiny child, etc.. After wasting a lot of time and receiving semi-aggressive comments on here, I got a little angry.

And yes, I was mainly going for the achievement and don’t like playing one map for that long

It says a lot that you call it a Map and not the correct term that is a Track …

If you cant fulfill the requirements of the race, that is “Complete 2.4 hours” then don’t enter it, go back to the 3 lapper hoppers

A) Seriously shut-up. Map/track who gives a crap, it’s a video game.

B) I took a break, for god sake, give me a break.

I really enjoyed it, it was more like real racing than anything else I have seen in Forza. From most of the comments that I have seen, many of us did enjoy it. If it isn’t your style, then why bother for just a badge (no achievement points)? If you don’t want to run a 2.4 hour event, then don’t join the lobby - it is that easy. The Indy 500 really doesn’t do it for me, so I skipped that one because I would have been bored. Looking forward to the Nurburgring event.

Sorry the second run did not work. My advice for next time is run 20 miles extra the first time. Maybe even take Panadol beforehand.

This time I did not run for all 2.4 hours. I had a few real life issues crop up and took a break when I had run 290 miles. Take breaks during the race if you need to.

When I did the race not only did I enjoy it but I thought oh I hit 250 miles but I’m not done with the lap I’m on so I finished the lap and my buddy did not(he stopped at 251-253) and I got the challenge and he did not.

So I’m pretty sure you just have to finish the lap 256 miles I think.

Oh and calling me an idiot for enjoying a 2+ hour race that’s just not cool. Wonder what name I could call someone that played a game for 2+ hours that they did not even like.

A) I do enjoy the game; but, I like some variety.

B) I wonder what I’d call a person who feels the need to insult a person looking for help.

A) Don’t join up a 2.4 hour race if you like “variety” you are stuck on the same track in the same car the whole race.

B) I did not actually insult you or call you a name, you on the other hand are calling people idiots, fools, addicts, and pathetic(all of which are very insulting). Although the guy sending you hate mail may be all 4 of those.

C) If you read my whole post there is some helpful info, like you had to finish the lap you were on when you hit 250 miles to get the challenge, 256 or 258 miles.
