Come to think of it, it’s been a solid few months since I’ve received a single gift. Not that I care all that much, since I have every obtainable car in the game in my own name, but you’d think I would have received one or two somewhere in there.

I’m almost loathe to mention it, but, I’m convinced they’ve changed the way they’re doing kudos for gifting cars, for the worse. I know, “IMPOSSIBLE !” you say. I was cleaning out the garage this past week, gifting anything that wasn’t garbage but didn’t sell in first auction to “new players”, and every single gift got a simple “delivered” notice (not one thank you) AND a kudo. Used to be it only got a kudo IF there was a thank you from the recipient.
I’m also convinced they aren’t even actually being delivered anymore. Maybe one attempt but more likely judging from the fast turn around of giving to “delivered” and kudo the gifts are being insta deleted and auto “delivered ! have a kudo !” That could in part be because there are no “new players” to deliver them to. At least they stopped delivering “new player” gifts to anyone it seems.
So, if you really want to buff your useless kudo total, buy a bunch of 20K junk in the autoshow and gift it to new players, looks like it’s pretty much instant kudos now.

I still don’t have a clue how the “system” defines & distributes these worthless tokens. I know it is also in some way linked to receiving “likes” on shared content, but it’s by no means a 1 to 1 ratio. For example, when I logged in earlier, I had received 12 total likes on livery downloads since logging in last night, yet it says I received “2 kudos!” 
Other times I might only have a few “likes” & I’ll receive a single kudo; makes zero sense (unless it’s staring me right in the face & I just don’t see it…which is entirely possible 
)

I know it either still does used to legitimately send the gifts, because I have a car originally gifted and then re-gifted from another forum member.
I no longer claim gifts though (although I would if it was a recognised name), so they get delivered to me, but I don’t pick them up. Maybe others stopped too.

well, it’s changed, yes
seem to remember reading it got tweaked for higher-kudos/level players (ess likely to receive a gift) but that might have been another player suggesting the idea
all messages are now “been delivered” though I am fairly sure I’ve seen something else once or twice - I think it depends what mode of the game is in use when the message is sent/received
kudos numbers do seem to have changed, there’s less correlation between uses/likes/thanks and the number, but it’s pretty meaningless anyway; what do I do with these 6000-odd points?

Yeah, though I got the occasional nice gift car they were always regifted as I’m just after my original owner set and have that. The rest of the bugs with the whole thing soured me early and I’ve stopped playing the gift game a couple times

How is it unbalanced? You gift out stuff you don’t need, and get stuff you don’t need in return.
A lot of people are probably already buying the CR 20,000 cars from the Autoshow and gifting them in order to get the Accolade that requires you to buy over 400 cars from the Autoshow - Which normal people won’t be doing during a playthrough if they’re strictly only buying one of each vehicle for their collections. That Accolade is dumb, as it requires you to buy something like 150+ duplicate vehicles just to achieve it, which obviously then need to be either sold or gifted

they can just be removed from the garage without gifting or selling - that’s what I did for the accolade

Yep, same, after getting all the non-duplicates sorted I bought in bulk and removed from garage. Perhaps the dumbest accolade ever. Although I’m sure there are contenders I’ve blocked from recall lol.

I think if they’re going to structure an accolade that way, we should get the option to choose a quantity amount when buying at the Auto Show. Several hundred separate transactions vs. one transaction with the needed quantity would be nice.
