My first suggestion post: I’m ready to pull my hair out!
Ghosting the first 30 seconds NEEDS to be implemented in these rooms. High speed ghosting isnt needed but to avoid the turn 1 massacres it should be added.
I know i’ll hear people saying this isnt Horizon or track racing shouldnt have these things but its a game and people want to enjoy it without qualifying top 3 just to be wrecked in the first turn and sent to last place.
Its frustrating enough to make you quit but if you do that your skill rating will be demolished. Its unfair for the clean players to deal with people who dont brake properly and take out numerous cars like we’re bowling pins.
I could be down for this… on the other hand FM7 had lobbies where collisions were turned off… I think that might be a better option. Of course that turns races into Hot Laps instead of door to door racing…
Enjoying the multiplayer spec series on the game a lot. Of course the penalty system needs a little more work done, but all in all, the game is pretty fun. One thing that’s a little annoying though, is the constant dive bombs we see at the first corner of alot of these races. Is there anyway, y’all can some how update it to where all cars are ghosted for atleast 30 seconds? I know I’m not the only one that gets frustrated with this. One guy intentionally messed up my race because he thought i was the reason to push him off his line the first corner, when it was due to someone dive bombing into me. Fun game regardless.
Getting tired of spending 10-20mins of practice and and qualify just to get rammed of the road in the first corner and go from top 3 to last. And the rammer get zero seconds or maybe 1 at best.
Racing comes with it’s own risk. Crashes happen in real life too. FM is marketed as motorsports emulator and I think whether it’s good or bad it should not be turned into some arcade racer. May be a stricter racing etiquette enforcement is a better way for clean racing than “ghosting”.
Lol if someone would crash the first corner like they do in this game they would be banned for life in racing. And the way the system works now is that the victim gets all the punishment and the rammed get away clean. So if they cant fix that then ghosting is the solution.
i wrote a novel here. Ghosting is the tldr preventative solution to getting hammered in t1
Old faithful, death, taxes and someone getting their race ruined before it even starts are the only sure things in life. Inevitably Johny Utah thinks he can go from last to first by taking turn 1 at the speed of sound and punts you half way across in infield. And as you (clearly the innocent victim) slide of the edge of the map the wonderful penalty system rewards you with the gift of time; a 4 second penalty. Your race is over before you even exited turn 1.
Why does this keep. happening. every. race when there’s a clear solution that is already implemented at other times in the race. Ghosting.
Ghosting already happens AUTOMATICALLY when cars spin out and very effectively keeps you from plowing into them on a straight. Ghosting sometimes happens as skill challenged drivers attempt to rejoin the track after an off track excursion but ghosting never happens in turn 1 at the start of a race. why?
As it is currently ghosting only happens in turn 1 when the best and most thoughtful players are able to recognize that they’ve overcooked the turn and they manually slam into the pause menu with only milliseconds to spare in a collision avoidance attempt. why can’t the game automatically recognize that Johnny Utah traveling at super sonic speeds isn’t going to make turn 1 at Spa 10 seconds after the race starts?
If you think Forza should temporarily lower the parameters for ghosting skill issued player before they punt you off of turn 1 during the opening seconds of a race give this a vote.
Pause your game (right before braking point) and let auto drive do this 1st corner for u, then mid corner unpause (u got 3s ghosting after u pausing), u might lose time a bit, but u won’t lose race. Tho be cautious with this method, becouse u need to be on racing line and pause bit earlier than u would normally brake, otherwise car might do weird things on autopilot.
Works rly well on nur, spa and Indianapolis turn 1, (slow 1st corner)
