Hello, I have “ghosts” around the car, it’s quite annoying, you know what causes that?
with anti-aliasing:
- TAA: very marked as on the video
- FXAA: I see big shadows in stages, which somewhat follow the ghost of the car
- MSAA: same as FXAA
The graphics card is a 7900 XTX, 144hz, 1080p, full settings
I don’t know if I should post in this category sorry

I have this problem too, recurring on Forza.
Already present to a lesser extent with a 3060Ti, I noticed that the problem got worse when switching to a 6900XT (and increasing the graphics options considerably)
Is it the post-processing that generates this shadow chasing the car?
I use the TAA to the max
Saw that on my 3070 with DLSS enabled. Would also get weird reflections at night when wet of the back of the car.
Not seeing it with my 4070 but probably arsed about with settings and disabled it.
Yes there’s a lot of default with DLSS or FSR I find, but with a high or mid-range card, no need to activate it.
TAA is worst effect on car shadows
Due to the nature of DLSS, TAA, and FSR being temporal solutions (using past frames as references) ghosting is unfortunately normal, especially when dealing with faster speeds like in a racing game.
Unfortunately every AA solution in FH is bad. FXAA is bad which is understandable considering the F stands for Fast and the X stands for ApproXimate. MSAA is bad due to a texture filter layering bug. It’s especially bad in cockpit view.
Hopefully the devs will update the game with DLSS 3.5 when it comes out. DLSS 3.5 uses the AI cores in any RTX card to eliminate ghosting, along with helping with texture details loss and pattern confusion. It’s actually a pretty big deal of an update for DLSS as it focuses on solving most of the weaknesses of the solution. As always with these things though, it’s inevitably up to the devs to update each game individually to support these technologies.

Happens on the Xbox a weird white line all around the car more noticeable in the cars shadow. I hope I’m taking about the right thing
