This is so annoying, everytime I try to do a multi class event, which the forzathon event has you do, I’m always stuck with players who use bone stock cars of the lowest class. This is easily the stupidest thing the devs could have done. God I am really starting to hate this game.
What do you mean? When you join the event, everyone has already selected there cars… In this week’s trial event, Rite of Passage, you can’t tell anyone what to drive…
What if all your friends wised up and quit playing this train wreck? I had a solid crew until PG decided to end FH4 in a train wreck and carry that same train wreck into FH5.
It’s stupid to have multi class Trials
, last week I tried to do the Trial, had some idiot in X class push me off a checkpoint because they couldn’t drive their car well enough to beat the B class because they couldn’t drive the the car they chose. Only reason I was in B class is because it was the only qualifying car I had tuned at the time, which I beat both B class AI, not a single X class driver beat their respective AI. The player base PG are targeting understand Minecraft, not Horizon, that’s the problem.
I tend to have more issues with other players ramming me off the checkpoints because they need to be ahead of someone. As they refuse to let the better driver past, because they need to block their own team mates. Anyhow, I ran the thing four times, came 2nd or 1st in most of the races, however. I always seem to get rammed/blocked or used as brakes by others players, because they simply can’t drive.
Not a fan of open class, as it’s more of a slog to actually win it, due to the above reasons and lack of actual team play.
yes it’s pretty dumb, i had c class only and proceeded with the race being last
i didn’t care, like i never did with online, i was only doing it to check the box
i did win the drift champ, afterward, yey, who cares? lol
Though to be fair. Even jf people were forced into bringing bone stock A class cars they’d still lose to the drivatars.
This was for sure the hardest trial I’ve ever done. I had to do it 3 times, I’ve never had to do a trial 3 times. People bringing D and C class cars didn’t help
Lotus Elan for me. I would have had 3 for 3 if my team mate didn’t ram me into the wall in the tunnel in race 2 (timed it just right too they did). That was first and last attempt (we won btw) as i have had enough of the arrogant drivers that play for themselves and not the team.
I really enjoyed doing the Trials in FH4 that i would do them numerous times just for fun, not so in FH5 so far.
Maybe it’s a tad bit too early to judge it yet…it certainly isn’t attractive to me at the moment though
Won again two A-Class BMW 2002 Turbo in my D-Class 1973 Nissan Skyline. They were only burning rubber but won’t get any corner right… Sad thing was that I were the only one who wins against his designated AI drivatars…
Having alone the “right” car with the “right” tune don’t do anything - you have to drive right too.
Imho the Lotus Elan is the king of this car type - as it was in Horizon 4.
AWD, I6-engine swap, front & rear aero and done.
The Vettes have good engines too but the power/weight ratio of the Elan can’t be rivaled.
In the trial, the drivatars will match the classes of cars you have, so if you have, say, 5 class A cars and 1 class C car on your team, that’s what the AI will have too, but the problem with that is that obviously the class C guy is only really competing against the class C drivatar and vice versa. It basically makes them only worth either 0 or 100 points max, cos they will finish either last or second last, while the class A drivers can earn up to 650 points (well, one can anyway), but as the class C driver will be beaten by 5 of the AI, their score is a net negative.
It only really works in your favour if you have 4 players or more on your team in the lower class cars, but that never happens unless you’re already playing in a group, cos most people think “using the fastest car I can is the best option”, when it’s sometimes not.
