Gamesave Question about Forza and One X

because i am going to switch to the one x will i be able to bring my saves and stuff over to the new console because ive got alot of time in forza and stuff and i dont want to lose it all

Yes, you will. Saved game data saves to the cloud. Forza 6 content won’t transfer over to Forza 7. Not sure if you asking that.
But unlocked content will carry over from XB1 to XB1X. It’s just like getting a new XB1. Your rewards will carry over too. All save info is tied to your gamertag.

99.9% sure

So is that gonna happen with all my games? So the games save to my gamertag?

Exactly. Here’s the thing, the One X isn’t like what the Xbox One to the 360 was. It’s different. It’s part of the Xbox One family. All your progress, unlocks, achievements, cars, anything, is with your profile. Think of the Xbox One X as just another addition. Just like all your stuff will work on a One S if you had an OG Xbox One, it’ll work on a One X. Nothing saved data wise will be lost for any game whatsoever. And anything you do on a One X, will be there on a One S, or OG X1 as well. It’s a family of consoles, not a new gen.

Designs, Vinyl Groups and Tunes can be imported from Forza Motorsport 6.

From your the save located on my current console I take it? What happens to my designs, vinyl groups and tunes when I plug in my X, install the game and log in? Does the cloud kick in at that point?

It’s all very confusing. I’ve never changed a console mid-gen. It all seems like a bit of a pain!!

Yep, forgot about that.

Be prepared though. This process will not happen quickly … it will take a while. Every game on your current XBox will have to download, install and sync on the new OneX. I’ve had to replace an external hard drive with games stored on it. It worked flawlessly … but takes some time.

The One X will allow you to transfer games and apps over your home network without the need to use internet bandwidth for downloading again:

Even better than that, if your current games are on an external drive, all you have to do is move the external drive to your new One X and there is no need to even transfer them over your home network. It also looks like they’re going to give us a chance to pre download any One X enhancements onto our One or One S and transfer them as well instead of having to download all of them on One X release day.

Exactly what I’m going to be doing
Wont even need to transfer anything that way
Glad I’ve got a 5 tb external
Might need another one soon if the games are going to doubled in size with the 4k upgrades

I just got the 8 TB hard drive and LOVE it! All 30 digital games and 34 apps on it and only 13% full.

I’ve never seen anywhere where they’ve had a maximum hard drive size stated. I currently am using a 3TB external on my original Day One XBox One. I can’t imagine that there’s any maximum size limit at all for external drives.

Since the XB1 runs on Win10-64bit and uses MBR for it’s game partitions the technical limit is 16 TB.

If you want to use it for media files (movies) and not for games, you can use GPT partitions instead of MBR. This limit is much much higher.

Will I able to transfer my soon to be forza 7 Xbox one account, ( vynils, designs tunes) over to Xbox one X when it comes out. When xb1 came out, we the forza 3-4 painters, are still waiting to bring our designs over.

Yes, it’s already been confirmed that paints and tunes from FM5, FM6, FH2 and FH3 can be imported into FM7. Anything from previous gen (FM3, FM4, etc.) won’t ever be transferred forward because of the different system architecture and file types from the previous generation of consoles.
