Question about switching to Forza 6 console

Hello All,

I am in the processing of selling my current Xbox One for the new Forza 6 console and had a question. I currently have Forza 5 and Forza Horizon 2 installed with a huge list of cars and credits obtained. I read elsewhere that my game saves (I am assuming cars, credits, current levels obtained for each game) will be saved in the cloud so when I transfer to the new console (Albeit next month) all I need to do is download my gamer tag and sync with the new console. My question is do I need to reinstall the actual games themselves or are they saved in the cloud as well. If so, then I assume that it will be a big download especially with my hard drive being full. Also, a little off topic, will the VIP and Car Passes be able to be bought separately? Currently I am reading they are “bundle only” unless I am missing something. And lastly (sorry) do I need to make my current console not my “home” console anymore before doing the factory reset on it or will the factory reset take care of that automatically so all I would have to do is log into my new console and go from there?

Thanks in advance!!

Yes, your game saves are saved in the cloud. When I got my Xbox One repaired I had to install all the games and then when starting a game the console will download the game save and you can proceed where you left the last time. The actual games are not saved in the cloud. You have to install them from disc or download them if you bought them in the store.

I don’t know exactly how the “home console” stuff works, but if you make your new Xbox One to your “home console” and never use the old one it should work.

I got to play a little bit of Forza 5 with my gamer tag, well before getting an Xbox One for myself. Once I got my own Xbox One, I was able to pick up where I left off, and making my Xbox One my “home” console just made signing in a little quicker. On my cousins unit, I have to use my XBL password, on my console I just use my personal pin.
