Hey guys!
Been loving Forza and have almost mastered the new Long Beach track!
But so I will be moving in with a friend in the fall and we both have an Xbox One and thus will only be needing one ( I will likely sell mine). My question is that how will I be able to save the cars I have, the decals and paint, and most important the tuning/suspensions settings so that I can transfer them to his Xbone? And if I am able to export them to an external will I be able to save just the Cardata and not a full profile (thus not having to save my full gamer profile)?
I have seen people that are able use cloud saving but I haven’t actually logged into my Xbox live in quite a while (do to internship stuffs and thus it has been turned off)
will that be a factor?
And I have seen others that have externals for their Xbone but I don’t really need to set one up like that or will I have to?
Thank you guys! I appreciate it, and so will a bunch of other people I bet when fall starts coming around.
dont sell your xb1 unless you plan on marrying this friend !!!

No there is no way to do what you are asking using USB. The only way is to get your xbox hooked up to the internet and play a game. Then once you log in on the other console all of your gamesave will be there. I have two consoles and play successfully on both of them thanks to the cloud.
And don’t sell your console just because your friend has one. What if you both want to play at the same time? Just save it in the box until later unless you desperately need the money.
I agree I think it would be wise to hold onto your xb1 in case something happens and you move in the future to another location. Either of you can setup and use just one Xb1 for the home entertainment. The 2nd person would simply log in to the other Xbox. Your gamesaves are on the cloud and I believe should download to the new system
This. Plus, what do you gain by selling your console? A measly $150? Not worth it.

As long as you are normally playing while connected to the internet, XB1 automatically syncs and saves all game data for all your games to their cloud. Whenever you sign in to your profile on another connected XB1 it automatically downloads and syncs all your game data (for the game you’re playing) from the cloud. I do this all the time when I go to a friend’s house and want to show him my cars or work on them with him.
Another option … if you’re worried about relying on the cloud for some reason … would be an external hard drive. While the XB1 doesn’t support USB memory sticks, it does support external USB hard drives as long as they meet the XB1 requirements. You could always purchase a relatively inexpensive small external USB hard drive (~500GB) and copy all your game data onto that to have it stored in a separate place. You could then connect that hard drive to any XB1 and use the data on it. Only drawback here is that any time you play, you’d need to manually re-copy your data to the external drive whereas data in the cloud is always synced automatically.
Game saves can be stored in the CLOUD so no matter what xbox one you log into with your gamer tag you should be able to bring down the data. You can now attach external hard drives and save games there and port that over to another xbox one and play them as long as you are logged in with your gamer tag I believe. I hooked up a 2TB external drive as soon as I got the patch for it. The XBOX one will support 2 external hard drives.
Hey guys the thing is that I really dont game as much as I thought and will be mostly going hardcore sim racing on the computer and while I loved the Xbone I actually got it from working for Microsoft and they actually will require giving it back as well. ( I posted the last one right before I was going to sleep) So Im not sure why I said sell
So how should I go about exporting all of that data?
Im going to look if there is an option under the settings but if there is something specific let me know!
I’ll be voicing like everybody : Do. Not. Sell. Your. Console. It’s not worth it in such early lifespan of a console.
