I noticed an annoying bug since the last updates. I enjoy doing burnouts in cars so I know how to do them. Let me state that first.
But after the latest update (Midnight Horizons/Rally Adventure) doing burnouts has become a lot harder for most cars, if not impossible. It’s still possible with most cars but after about 5-10 seconds the rev gauge starts shaking and it’s like the traction control kicks in and kills the burnout. I’ve tested this with multiple cars of which I know could do perfect burnouts very easily:
Corvette C5
M5 E39
Supra ‘98
etc.
They all do this. With the M5 it’s not even possible anymore to do a proper burnout.
Mind you that I play without driving aids! So no TC, ABS, STM, LC or whatever. I already tried toggling LC on/off but it doesn’t help. Luckily it doesn’t affect drifting.
Yes I’ve noticed there’s something up when drifting. Traction control is off but it feels like it momentarily kicks in and the car stops wheel spinning very briefly.
I’ve noticed that Traction Control sometimes turns on when returning to freeroam after a race, more often after the latest patch than it used to. The TC icon will show up in the speedometer when it happens. Fast traveling definitely fixes it, and other session changes (entering a festival site/house, etc) probably do to, and toggling it in the settings menu might as well (I wasn’t able to replicate it so far, so I couldn’t check).
Update. My problem was my Elite 2 game controller was on it’s last legs and randomly applying the hand brake. There were loose parts rattling around inside. I’ve replaced it with a new one and the game is great again.
When you do a burnout now, the rev gauge is bouncing as if the traction control is kicking in. But Imhave all driving aids switched off. I also saw the topic of the guy who said to turn it on first, save, then switch it off again. Doesn’t help, burnouts are still killed in some cars
I’ve also noticed that my triggers have lost pressure sensitivity since the update. I can’t cruise and hold a certain speed, the triggers are acting more like on/off switches. Anyone else noticing this?
