Gameplay - FRR applies penalty to player for being hit by another player (1692509)

When online racing, your safety rating drops because of penalties, which is a good system, yet how it works is not how it supposed to be.

When you go deep into a corner and go off track and lose time, you will get a penalty, but in soms cases when you cut the corner and win time you do not get a penalty.

Same goes for crashes with other players, I had guys hit me from the back, causing me to lose control and slide off track, Than I get a severe penalty for the crash AND being off track, while they drive on without a penalty. This shouldn’t be the case.

Mistakes that cost time should not be punished, and being hit from the rear neither. Safety rating has dropped significantly because of other “dirty” players, while I’m driving clean races. A bit of a shame.

In already 2 multiplayer races I was illegally given time penalties!

Case 1:

Driving on a straight, in the middle of a bunch of vehicles I was rammed and spun on the roadway.
During the uncontrolled turning several vehicles drove into me.
For this incident I got 5 penalty seconds!

For this reason I was illegally downgraded from rank S to rank A!
Despite previously over 10 races without penalties and without driving error!

Case 2:

After another driver has driven me with his vehicle wantonly, sideways into the front part of my car and turned thereupon, I got a time penalty of 1 second!

Today went from rating S to rating B, because someone bashed me off track… this absolutely ruins online gaming as I will be set in al these noob and basher lobbies now, and it gets harder and harder to than go up in rating :face_vomiting:

This needs a fix and fast!

I write this in the bugs section, because it is probably the most serious bug in the competitive section of the game, which has been sold as competitive multiplayer.

The current sanctions system does not work and does not penalize players who try to ruin the experience for others.

Hits from the rear of the car are not penalized, as are 90% of side hits. But this is not the worst, legal players are penalized when they should not be.

If you hit a car that is spinning out of control in the middle… you are penalized, if they push you off and you miss the next corner, you are penalized, while the aggressor continues racing and taking an advantage that is impossible to recover, obviously this is wrong raised or it just doesn’t work.

It cannot be that the only penalty given to dirty players is some time, we need these players’ cars to have a full brake or something similar, a mandatory pit stop without changing tires, etc.

If you want this game to remain competitive, this has to be an absolute priority.

I have just come from trying to participate in a race, and I say try because it is completely impossible, if TURN10 does not change the issue of penalties, unfortunately the game will die before it starts.

The state of the multiplayer is a complete shame, it seems more like a wreckfest

I agree because currently it doesnt incentivate the drivers to race like a real life situations. It’s preferable to hit sometimes to have advantages. Even AI hits you when they clearly could avoid. Penalty? Never saw.

Exactly, the players don’t run to simulate a race, they run to take advantage of the broken penalty system. And if this is not changed now, the multiplayer game dies in a few weeks.

Real penalties are needed if they want to make the races competitive.

Let’s hope for the next patches…

it’s right. But I don’t understand why they aren’t updating the game yet. Many of us have already been playing for 10 days or more. And the multiplayer becomes exasperating after 2 or 3 races full of donkeys

They don’t want to scare away casual gamers.
Just introduce competitions for “pro gamers” and increase penalties.

They may not want to scare away casual players, but…competitive is like that. If casual players do not want to improve or respect others, let them play another mode or another game. But war cannot be allowed in every race

You are right.

Ping pong race. Who will get next lucky number to finish the line without penalties…
Yea, multiplayer can be painfull, even if you manage start from pole positions, there will allways be someone who ruin all in first corner. Also my rank is about 4k and S rating and there is allways carmagedon in every race. Or those safety S to E ranks not work properly in matchmaking system, i dunno. But if they work, what is happening at E ranks?!:face_with_spiral_eyes:

yeah thats also a Problem. Why having Driver Ratings when they CLEARLY dont work! Im S Rank aswell and i always have Rammers and Grandmamas in my Lobby.

And the Penalty System needs a BIG overhaul! Someone spun out at the last corner in Maple Valley and spun back to the Track. It was possible for me to avoid the Crash going 300+km/h. I crashed into him and got 2.2 Seconds Penalty… People Brake checking me and slowing me down in Corners and I get the Penalty… because i crashed into someone who is obviously blocking me!! I HATE this System so much!

I was second in the race, I’m on the line, get hit by an opponent and go off the track.
My opponent didn’t even receive a penalty.

When accidents happen or cars run off the track they should for at least 10 to 15 seconds become ghosts.
I think solving all the problems is not easy.
Races should have a maximum of 12 opponents. When there are races with 20 opponents or more it’s impossible to hope for a decent race.

Every multiplayer lobby is filled with AI players if there are not enough real players keep that in mind. I noticed this recently and those AI players are very fast and dirty and spin you of the track. I guess the AI learns al tricks from the dirty players

Are you sure, there is AI in featured?

There is no AI capable of validating a penalty between three cars. The system is going very well for me, it just needs to be perfected (in the Forza statement, it is announced that Forza is here to stay for a long time and will continue to evolve) for me it is among the best penalty systems controlled by an AI today

Good for you?! Casual rammers?
