Ok Turn 10, this is for you…
There is a corrupted file somewhere in the cloud save that is preventing me from synching and starting the game. It has already reset my game progress back to the beginning, and now, won’t synch at all. I’ve been back and forth with Microsoft for a week trying to find someone who could help to no avail. I just need the my progress put back to anything before Mar 27. That’s when the problems happened.
Please, I’ve tried calling the office in Redmon and leaving a voicemail but the time difference is a problem, and I doubt I’m taken seriously. I’m quite determined to play again and have no problems calling. I’d prefer to interact with someone who can fix this, rather than directors who know someone who can fix this. I’m not trying to embarrass anyone, only play what I’ve paid several times for.

GainingAltitude, if you don’t mind, I can offer a few pieces of troubleshooting. During the first sync notification you ever received, did you allow the process complete without canceling or turning off the console? Because Forza game save files are quite large, this procedure can take several hours to complete and it is imperative to leave the console to do its thing.
Unfortunately, if you are now getting into the game, but with your progressed wiped, it is very likely that the game save file had become corrupted and there isn’t much that can be done at that point. You can, however, contact Turn 10’s HeliosT10, who has offered to provide some credits to get users who have lost their save files back on the virtual road. Send him a private message with the subject title “Forza Horizon 2 save game loss.”
Thanks for responding, I’ve been back and forth with Microsoft for a week. I’ve let it sit “synching” for over an hour with smoking internet and still hangs at 100%. Is there something else that has to be fix on the server side?
I’d give it a bit more time,it takes an extremely long time even after getting to 100%sync,just went thru this myself about a week back, took about 2hrs to get to 100%,then took about another 1 1/2-2hrs stuck at 100% before the game finally started, I dont think having super fast internet matters,as I kept an eye on my usage meter, and it barely uploaded/dl’d any data after getting to 100%,
Just let t sync.
Xbox Live and their cloud is built for and optimized to sync (on average) 6 MB file whereas the average file size for Forza Horizon 2 is around 100 MB. It may say 100% but just let it be until it goes away and starts on its own.
Do not quit, do not cancel sync, do not do anything else on the console.
