Future Version of Thrustmaster TX?

For those of you that read my posts concerning my first experience with the Thrustmaster TX know it was not a good one. My brand new wheel died after 30 seconds. I couldn’t reach TX support by phone (despite calling when they were supposed to be open) and simply returned it to the store rather than wait to get a replacement from Thrustmaster. I’d like to get another but I have serious doubts about the quality and reliability of the TX.

I really like the generic round rim that comes with the new Thrustmaster T300 RS for the PS3, PS4 and PC. I see you can also get the T300 with the GTE wheel out of the box. Both wheel rims look like much better quality than the TX rim and also feature 1080 degrees of rotation vs 900.

Do you think Thrustmaster will ever sell a TX that comes with the GTE wheel instead of the plastic 458 wheel or a TX that comes with a generic round rim like the T300 RS?

You can buy it that way on Amazon.com for $429. I bought both F1 & GTE rims when Amazon had them for $100 each earlier this year.

Unfortunately I’m in Canada. It’s an extra hastle to order from the US if I need to return it. In Canada the TX is usually $400 and the GTE rim is $150. So we pay much more for the same thing. Amazon.ca doesn’t offer that same deal in Canada unfortunately.

If they started selling a TX that came with the GTE rim (like they are doing for the T300) I would take the chance for sure and order a second wheel. Was not a fan of the stock TX wheel.

Is the GTE wheel that kuch better than the stock tx? I bought the f1 rim and was wondering if it would be dumb of me to buy another rim. Thanks guys!
