Amazon is the cheapest I’ve seen it for new. Of course, you could always buy a second one for a little cheaper, but then you run the risk of it not working or Thrustmaster not supporting it if something were to go wrong.

Why doesn’t my Xbox recognize my thrustmaster TX under devices??

It should. Just plug and play. What’s your process for hooking it up?

Played a lot of gran turismo back in the day. Havent played a racing game in quite some time. Im getting back into it with forza6. I want to use a wheel as i am not a big fan of controllers. Purely for the price i would go with the TX but i have read awful reviews on reliability. Would suck to spend ~350 on a brick. The Fanatec looks amazing and is robustly built. But its just so damn expensive, especially for a first wheel. Any recommendations or suggestions?

Reviews have been good on the new Logitech G29. The Xbox One/PC version the Logitech G920 is out in October for $399. Only issues seek to be the dual motor helical drive can be a bit notchy and has a bit of a dead spot at centre. From what I’ve read the pedals are better than even the Thrustmaster T3PA pedals. Everyone who hasn’t even tried it says it’s a rebadged G27. It’s base architecture is very similar however they have added a rubber damper to the brake pedal for more realistic progressive feel and a hall sensor versus the old optical sensor. I think I’m going to get a G920 when they come out. The Thrustmaster TX feels great and has strong force feedback but they fail all the time. My first one lasted 30 seconds before going up in smoke so I’m steering clear of them. A quick search on any forum has hundreds of dead TX/T300 wheels. The G29/G920 will likely be much more reliable for

I think the G29/G920 should include the shifter for the $400 price. In Canada the Tx used to sell for $400 but they just raised the price to $450. So the G920 is a great deal in Canada now. The stock TX rim sucks as do the pedals so I’d spend way more to upgrade to a comparable setup on the Thrustmaster TX as the Logitech G920 already comes with.

The Thrustmaster TX can be found for cheaper than $450 in Canada. Microsoft Store Canada has it for $400 right now, I got my TX from the same site for $300 back in June.
