Hi guys! Since i’ve just recently purchased the F1 rim,Th8a shifter and the T3pa pedals for my TX. I was wondering if it really is worth it to purchase the GTE wheel? Or should i just save my money? Wondering how different it is compared to the standard 458 rim. Can some of you please give me some positive input about it. Thank you.
I have a GTE but never used the rim that came with the wheel. The GTE is fine, good feel and decent shifter paddles, but it does have a bad habit of making a ticking noise under hard use. Is it worth the extra money? Depends on how cheap you can get it. It certainly looks better than the stock rim. All the TX rims are pretty small though imo.
I never used the stock rim either. When I ordered my wheel I ordered a GTE rim at the same time and just installed it when the wheel came in. Personally I would like the GTE rim more if it were the same thickness as the stock rim. Other than that it feels nice and solid where I could tell the stock rim felt very cheap when I pulled it off.
Thanks guys for your input. Still on the fence if I should buy this rim or just save up a Lil more and buy the thrustmaster t300 rs for the ps4 as well. What you guys think? Or should I just stick with the xbone and save myself 300
There isn’t much to play on the PS4 right now… I’m waiting for the GT7 reviews before thinking of the t300. If Gran Turismo can finally design a game that is actually FUN, or at least with a faint waft of emotional connection then I may get the t300.
Also The GTE is much better than the standard rim in my opinion. Do it, they are relatively cheap on Amazon.
I think I’ll be purchasing it.
