So I bought a Fusion Pro controller out of curiosity, and because they are only $40. I’ve loved playing this game with it so much that I had to share. This is not an ad. Here are the ways I think the controller actually makes the game a whole lot more enjoyable. From one racer to another.
-
Trigger lock: Can we all agree that trying to brake with the standard XBOX controller is awful? It’s got very numb triggers with weak springs. The Fusion trigger lock lets you pull to 56% percent consistently every single time. By pure dumb luck, this seems to be about the perfect amount of brake pressure for most standard cars. If you have a racing car with adjustable brakes, and want to tweak it to be exactly to the point of lock up, you can just add some brake pressure to that particular setup. It honestly makes me so much more consistent under braking that I had to ratchet my opponents up 2 settings to “unbeatable”.
-
Changeable analog sticks: Taller analog stick=more precise steering control. It took a little getting used to, but now I can’t go back. Seriously, open your telemetry screen while your car is stationary and try to go from lock to lock as smoothly as possible with the standard controller. Watch the telemetry screen with the steering position on it and you’ll see how much the game is jerking your wheel around even if your input is smooth. Fusion Pro, it’s like butter. I don’t know what the heck kind of analog stick they put in there but its amazing.

No batteries: It’s wired, so it never dies or starts to die during a play session.
-
Comfort: I know this one is subjective, but for me this is the first controller that’s allowed me to race as long as I feel like with out getting the 'ole hand cramps.
Anyway, I hope you find this info/recommendation helpful. Happy racing!
