This controller looks very nice and was thinking of buying one. If anyone has this controller what setups would you use on ‘Forza Motorsport 6’ and what deadzones? I’ve asked a few people but would be interesting to see what people generally use.
I just use the right trigger lock, didn’t mess with any deadzones in the app just did 0-100 in game settings. With the trigger lock on it makes it impossible to lock the brakes on most cars at 120-150 brake pressure.
Make sure you buy an extended warranty, I had to exchange mine after 2 months. It only has a 3 month warranty otherwise
Wow what went wrong with it? I’ve had mine since the day they dropped and never had any probs.
I don’t know, it just started going crazy one day. It Just started making random inputs. Never dropped it and I took good care of it. It is better constructed than the regular controller but it can have issues too. The regular controller seems like a piece of junk now when I pick it up. It is a lot of money with a very short manufacturer warranty.
Mine actually did the same thing about a month ago. It was about 6 months old. It started going nuts and was unusable. I just unplugged it / took out batteries / took off back / grip panels and let it sit overnight (I thought maybe some moisture got in or something?). The next day it worked fine. It’s worked fine since, too. Idk what the deal was.
Im using 0-100 deadzones in game cause I want maximum control of my cars, in the accesories app I’m using the smooth configuration for the left analog with the left bar at zero, for even smoother steering and it works great. I’m not locking the brake trigger cause I find it easy to hit the brakes at 60-80% without lock. I tried also to shift gears with the back padlocks but I find out that I’m not ready yet cause I’m new to forza and generally xbox as I purchased both forza and xbox one almost a month ago.
The Elite controller is incredible and you’ll never want to go back to the regular ones. I didn’t change too much - although, I do use the Forza 6 preset when playing Forza 6 (used back paddles for shifting / clutch).
…that was all before getting my Thrustmaster TX, though…
Just get the warranty. If you push to hard on the left stick it will break. This current one I have has a broken stick yet again but seems to work ok for now
yea that happened to me too on one of them
I realized I wasn’t very specific - some buttons wouldn’t work, while others were acting like they were being pressed like 100x per second. The triggers / bumpers were acting like they were all being mashed at the same time.
I eventually was able to calm them down enough to open up the controller tuning app and look at the inputs. The triggers were acting like they were getting like a 1-2% input constantly. I changed it so there was a dead zone of like 5% and that fixed it. Later, I took the dead zone away and the controller has been working fine ever since.
