Cheaters always prosper? No, sorry. You’re dead wrong on that one. If the cut wasn’t allowed, I guarantee the top page would have the same names on it. Quit deluding yourselves and accept that it’s allowed already. If you don’t like it, too bad. Personally, I could still be top 30 right now even without a cut, but if you can’t do it, wait until next week for a “fair” playing field.
Your in TORA same with raceboy and countless others and I know y’all race clean and are still fast as hell but you doing it because it’s allowed just saying its obviously turn 10’s way of saying it because look at all the garbage we get in league play with people cutting every corner possible where the rest of us actually drive the track and nothing ever gets done about it
As much as I feel dirty as anything having just used the cuts, Harmonic is right. Quick is quick. Just because someone uses the cuts doesnt mean they are guaranteed to be quick enough to qualify - you still need that speed and skill over the rest of the lap to make it count. Those that think they would be in the top 10 if no-one cut need to check out all the leaderboards in the game.
Will Turn 10 fix the track limits at Monza? I highly doubt it. Is it going to turn the actual racing into a farce? Again no, because I expect the ESL rules will be adhered to and the standard of racer should be excellent.
As much as we would all prefer a track with no cuts it is what it is. We all have exactly the same tools to do the job. If people really feel that strongly about it then the only thing I can recommend is not to play. But at the end of the day there are some serious prizes on offer so people are going to do everything they can to get ahead as long as it is within the rules of the game… And that’s what it boils down to - the rules of Forza and what Forza deems to be clean, be it realistic or not.
I disagree with this. If the rules were clear, ie, 4 wheels over the kerb incurs a penalty then yes I could, but they aren’t clear. You are playing roulette with a system that decides whether or not you cut the corner with no clear parameters.
“did I get away with that?” isn’t fair racing however you try to defend it
I’ll happily call you out on this. since you aren’t in the top 100 as i write this, go set a top 30 time without cutting any corners, no kerbhopping, no exploits and we’ll see if you delusions of grandeur are justified. Feel free to tell us when you have.
in the interest of fairness, As it currently stands, 30th is a time of 2:05.168
lol what? looks at this post then looks at leaderboard Hes 5th world 2nd US. He’s been up that high since this qualifying started…and only getting faster.
Sigh… Thank you for realizing this before I showed up. It’s kinda hard to hear Mr Plankton from all the way up in the top 10 though.
Also, I’ve dirtied a 2:03.588… While that was a one off lap that I probably can’t match again, I could do a 2:03.9 if I actually sat on it for another hour or two. 2:04s are most certainly possible without a cut.
On a final note, if anyone can direct me to Forza’s “Racing Etiquette” that says this cut isn’t allowed, I’ll happily reconsider my stance on the issue. Until then, T10 has allowed us to do it, so do what you will with what you’re given.
Don’t doubt him. He is after all the raining MLG 1v1 and 3v3 champion and took home over several thousand (can’t remember total) as result.

I’m not doubting anyone I’m just asking a question and I’m interested to know what different rigs people are using.
I’m using a logitech g920, shifter with clutch, wheelstand pro, and a generic lounge armchair myself. No assists, normal steering
I’m on a normal controller. The only assist I used for my lap was the braking line.
Aw, you’re all upset because I won’t “play fair”? I’m playing by T10’s rules, not yours. I couldn’t care less what you think of my driving, and if you think a 2:07 is a pain, you need to practice. A 2:04 is definitely possible with no cuts. I’d run the time on a separate gamertag, but that would break an ACTUAL rule.
More to the point, you’re acting like the names at the top of the boards would change if the cut was disallowed… It’s really quite funny. If T10 actually wants to disallow it, we’ll happily rerun it, respect the rules, and take back our spots on the top page. Until that happens, no amount of moaning from you or anyone else will make things turn out in your favor.
This event is a qualifier for the ESL matches. A leaderboard challenge can hardly be considered a match tbh. Hence why ESL themselves are unlikely to disallow these times based on that rule. It’s a T10 event right now, so it’s their responsibility to fix this, or say that it’s perfectly fine.
To all who bring real life examples into this: it’s much easier for 10 people to keep track of maybe 60 cars than 6000. That’s why we have the (faulty) automated system and that’s what we (sadly) have to go by.
You call him out? Hahaha that’s funny. I hope you realize 4s are possible without cutting. Just becasue his time isn’t good right now doesn’t mean anything. I got 5 something with cutting and that’s horrible. Why? Cause I did three laps and decided to race league 1st. Why don’t you give it a try since your so fast. Stop complaing and go do some laps.

Can you direct me to a replay of someone doing a 2:04 with no cuts? I’d like to see that…
You clearly don’t know what clean lines are. Curb hopping is and has always been allowed thats why they’re there . To push track limits. The lines Montoya take are litteraly almost identical to what you see on a 1st place lap on forza. The only thing excluded obviously is the 1st turn and the last speed bump going onto the back straight.

This had me in fits of laughter, I meant a replay of the current competition, someone doing a 2:04 in forza in a '15 mustang, with no cutting, not a bloody f1 car!
There’s nothing wrong with montoyas lines in the video, 2 wheels are always on track. kerb hopping as you call it.
What were talking about here and what everyone takes issue with is blatant track exploiting, all 4 wheels off the race track.
Compare that video to the replays for the top leaderboard times, it couldn’t be any clearer

I’m showing you what’s clean in real life… not any confusion.
I can tell you that those guys are not lying about their pace. Raced with a bunch of LMR people and they know what they’re doing. In this instance, since we don’t have a clear statement from either ESL or T10 (and I definitely hope they will respond, otherwise the whole series is in jeopardy), they’re basically forced to exploit the game. There’s a lot of people slower than them that would undeservingly get into the top 128 if the quick guys tried actually following the track limits.
Here’s to hoping the organisers take interest in the issue.
