Or basic fixes for online that would be easy to implement and make the experience far more enjoyable such as ghosting lapped players (usually rammers), increasing the amount of laps for S class and above so the race isn’t decided by the first corner carnage or getting rid of the rewards screen until you exit multiplayer so you actually have time to select a different car or make alterations.
Yeah they did mention they were working on a fix for the AI I believe they said it in January. I’m willing to bet it will be the highlight of next months update or May’s. It cant be that far off, either way it’s coming just a little more patience.
I don’t recall any mention of changing the AI. The only thing I remember is that they said if FRR was to be implemented in Career, they would need to re-do the AI because they violate the Race Regs constantly.
Im telling you it was definitely in one of the monthly streams, it was towards the end. Chris esaki had something like ‘we have something for you forza veterans…we plan to look at and rework the AI’. They acknowledged that the ai does have an unfair advantage when it came to straightaway horsepower and speed plus the erratic behavior.
Edit: I think it was the stream where they demonstrated the reworked collision assist. They were on the long beach track.
As they talked about Raceregulations, they toled that it will be implemented for multiplayer first and later for singleplayer because they have to rework the AI first…
This made me think that it is on ther plan.
BTW
beside all my critics about hte update I have to say that the FFB settings per Car are great, Drifting is now fun - i can drift with wheel - not been able befor and cars are much better to handle in critical situations.
Good work T10!
I have been rellay scared about the demonstration of the “race regulation systenm”. It seems to be able to cut way more than earlier and the consequence is a penalty addes to the racetime. I a’m not the youngest and i learnd that all that can be done will be done. This system makes it easier for rammers and griefers to catch up to their victims. The penalty at the end won’t be a restriciton - mostly the win of the race is not the pimary goal of this drivers. maybe the restriction of using the friction assistent could help a little…
The raceregulation was anounced for march, now just a small pice of it (corner cutting) shows up and only in a closed beta. So wen can expect that this project will take a few more moth to be established. Since i 'm playing Offline (Singleplayer) only (dont want to deal with ramm and grief) and t10 anounced that there needs to be a rework of the AI system until we see this in Freeplay. Well, i am lieing to myself since moths that at least some of all the other requested fixes and features will show up with the next update, but now really tired of this.
I wonder if they ever plan to provide some dirt tracks / circuits so we can play all those offroad cars on something other than tarmac? There must be over a hundred cars that are dirt capable or designed specifically for dirt, yet … there is no dirt. The leverage of getting even one dirt track in this game is huge.
(Ok, ok, on Dubai the road gets a bit sandy…)
Given that Horizon 4 exists, with vast amounts of dirt track mileage already created, one would think that importing some of that that and reskinning it to a circuit or two wouldnt be all that hard…
I can tell they have also been tweaking the physics or grip. Many months ago one car for example #62 mazda rx7 GTO was all slippery and no grip, now it grips a lot better and makes for some good racing against other cars in its class like the Nissan and mercury.
