Turned my xbox on and the message came up as needed a system update, xbow updated fine. Then Forza 6 needed an update, when this finished an error message came up saying there was a problem updating now every time a click try again the message comes up the the update has failed and now i can’t get the damn game to work.
All other games and apps work fine, has any one else had this problem and if so did you get past this and how, Thanks
try to da a hard reset of your xbox1. and try again 
Yeah tried that and disconnected the power cable but no luck, like i said every else works fine so no connection problems. Annoyed as it’s the main game i play when i have time, Bummer.
I actually had the same issue for a while back… but that was my internet provider who had a block on console downloading and updating. but doesn’t sound like that’s your problem if you manage to update the xbox first?
Xbox system update was fine then it got to the end of the forza update and just said it failed and try again, aint a bloody clue lol
Dont really know what to suggest mate , perhaps try posting in the FM6 support section of this forum and see if you get a response off someone that can help.
I’m going to reinstall, see if that helps, cheers for all the comments. I think with the error while updating it’s messed the game up, hopefully the reinstall does the trick.

All sorted, once i reinstalled the game had to install updates then worked fine, PHEEEW! Forza here i come lol
I have the exact same problem. Got an error when I tried to download the update and now it doesn’t let me download it again. I can run the game without the update and even play multiplayer. Maybe it’s installed but I’m really not sure. Is there way to know for sure that it’s installed? Like a new option or the latest build number ?
The software version is read by the server and if you need a newer version it’ll offer or force the update on you. The fact it launches fine strongly suggests you’re all good.
