Forza Streets [New Forza Title Concept]

Need for Speed 2015 did an amazing job with the game and the customization options was the absolute best part. But sadly although the cars customization was great, I still love the Forza Horizon in-game car mechanics and tuning more. (Part selection is better in Need for Speed in my opinion) Personally I’m more of a fan of real world car tuning, street racing, and drifting. Which is why Need for Speed 2015 really spoke to me but I still enjoy drifting/driving around in Forza Horizon just because it feels more real to me.

FORZA STREETS TITLE CONCEPT

Does anyone else think that maybe they should split the drifting/street racing scene into another game title for Turn 10? Every time I got a Forza Horizon title I felt like the game was always focused around circuit/rally racing which I don’t think is bad but I feel there is a strong drift/street racing scene thats kind of being shafted, not intentionally of course. Why not release a separate Forza title (Forza Streets) where you guys focus a bit more on the customization variety and on more realistic street racing. (Not saying to add cops) The amount of parts/customization has always been pretty much the same for the last 5 releases minus maybe the Greddy Wing. It would be nice to see more customization features being added into this series at least. Also in the last release of horizon there weren’t really any super long and nice winding roads minus a few areas, it would be nice to see more of these types of roads for the drifters out there. (Example: Fujimi Kaido) Of course if you try to focus on Street racing/drifting most of the focus is around the JDM scene, so it would be nice to see a lot more JDM type of mods/parts in this game. That being said, don’t cut out the EURO and USDM scenes out of the game concept because that would be a turnoff for fans who aren’t into JDM.

Anyway here are some of my suggestions for this concept. If you have anything you think they should add to this concept idea as well, please comment them below.

Potential Locations:

  • Oahu, Hawaii
  • Japan
  • LA, California

Game Options (Things that should’ve been added to Horizon 2):

  • Traffic Toggle (If you’re going to add annoying drivatars/traffic, please allow for a toggle option to turn it off, it really messes with drifting/racing)
  • Weather Toggle (Maybe some people don’t enjoy the rain)…
  • Time Cycle Toggle (Day and Night)
  • Picture Mode in Multiplayer

Physics/Graphics:
Tire smoke that act like real tire smoke. (MOAR TIRE SMOKE)

Tuning/Part Additions: (MOAR COSMETICS)

  • The Ability to SLAM your car. (Scrape, Scrape, Scrape…)
  • Extreme Camber (I’m not a fan of this, but why not please the camber freaks)
  • Air Suspension
  • Hydraulics
  • NOS (I feel Forza can do a better job at making NOS feel more realistic)
  • Anti Lag Kits (Maybe I want my car to sound broken) (Realistic Backfire noises, the Horizon backfire was weak)
  • Drag Wheel Treads (They remove this from Horizon titles but I don’t get why)
  • Wheel Spacers for Wider Stance
  • Exhaust (Cosmetic Selection for Exhaust)
  • Rocket Bunny Aero Kits (Boss S14 kit <3)
  • Splitters/canards that aren’t Forza brand.
  • MOAR AERO AND WINGS for the ricers
  • Headlights/Taillights Customization (Stock, Clears, Smoked)
  • Realistic Brand Parts (Although I’m thinking there’s an issue with this)
  • MOAR WHEELS (Deep Dish <3)
  • Steering Angles
  • Separate Panel Painting (Front Fender, Door, Rear Fender, Separate Wheel Colors)
  • Stickers/Decals on Windows
  • Bash Bars
  • Ability to maybe not have bumpers on the cars.

Before we get to the car list, some cars have multiple models/styles so maybe you can have the same car but have multiple styles instead, kind of like what happen with the F&F cars. Except make it so when you scroll over the base car you have the option to change the style of it, which will switch the model, price, or stats(if it model is different).

Car List Additions(Current Horizon 2 List + these following):
1995-1997 Nissan 240sx (S14):

  • 1995 Zenki 240sx
  • 1997 Kouki 240sx
    1989-1994 Nissan 240sx Coupe (Style/Model)
    Toyota AE86
  • Sprinter Hatch/Coupe Model
  • Levin Hatch/Coupe Model
    BMW E46 M3
  • 2005 E46 M3
  • 2004 E46 M3 CSL
    Scion FR-S

If you think this concept is a good idea, please comment or like the post to show your support on this idea, if not, oh well, this idea may not please everyone. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sounds like a very good concept so far.

I dont know how to do the cut paste from other posts thing, but i have written a couple things like this in the threads for horizon 2 wishlists or future locations for 3. I would love something like this. I think it should be a dlc for horizon 2 just like storm island was. Have one for drift, with specific body parts, suspension, trans, tires, wheels etc for drift. Have a location, like the island, that has everything road wise that drifters would want. The have a pack for drag with all the goodies I want for drag. Proper wheel tire packages, trans brake, giant turbos and blowers, weight distribution, proper NOS, drag body mods, working trees on a couple.tracks. places to street race, using a traffic light or something else as start.

I would LOVE this like i said. Something that makes these games as much a celebration of everything a car can be. Not just circuit and rally!!

I want “Car Rollover Accident” after being slammed hard by a car.

Wide Bodykits by Manufacters themselves:
Chevrolet C7R
Audi LMS Ultra
SRT GTSR
etc.

damn, you did it!

So, I downloaded this game; I thought the 3+ GB size was a bit excessive for something that is intended for mobile devices. I ran it on a Windows 10 Microsoft Surface Pro and was surprised it took so long to load; again, is this supposed to be implemented on mobile devices?

I was a bit surprised that the ongoing dialog continued to reference “Miami”. I know this game originated from “Miami Streets”, but the first thing that came to mind was a simple “find and replace” in the source code to change “Miami” to “Forza”.

The game is basically a series of cinematics designed around street races; my entire interaction was with the Left-Mouse-Button. Tap it constantly to rev the engine, hold to accelerate, release to brake. No steering, no shifting, no lane changing, no strategy what-so-ever. But the final straw was when I received my first “Free Spin” and won the Mustang. Remembering that every video I’ve seen prior on this game showed the first free-spin win to be the Mustang; I knew it was fixed and swiftly uninstalled it.

Not to say this game is a total loss; it could make a great educational piece for Corner-Bombers and Rammers since it focuses so much on braking, which is a concept they don’t seem to understand.

At first, I only want to complete this game for achievements.
I don’t really like the concept but I deal with it.

The biggest problem in my opinion is, that there are a lot of races you can’t possibly win, because there is no way to get a high enough car.
Also the upgrade system isn’t explained anywhere.

You can unlock up to 3 exhaust upgrade parts every 24 hours (if you have a car that’s powerful enough to take part in those events).
intake upgrade parts and brake upgrade parts can’t possibly be unlocked because you need a car around PI 600.
But they don’t tell you what’s the use of Intake and Brakes anyway, I have some of those parts but I can’t use them on any car.

So let’s take a random car for example.
The first upgrade requires 1x exhaust upgrade part.
The second upgrade requires 2x exhaust upgrade parts.
The third upgrade requires 2x exhaust upgrade parts and 1x class specific exhaust upgrade parts.

Those class specific upgrade parts appear randomly next to the regular upgrade events, so you have to wait up to 4 days until you get the parts you need.
But again you have to be lucky to own a car that can beat those events.

The next annoying thing is the collector level, you need to reach collector level 15 in order to be able to use 3 cars in events.
Of course the collector level is raising very very slow.

Another thing about those “wheelspins” or whatever they call it, is that you always get doubles.
In the last 10 “wheelspins” I got not a single new car, one double upgraded my M3 to 503, so at least that was a bit useful.

I’m halfway through Episode 2, but I’m lacking a modern sports car with a high enough PI, so I can’t go on.
In this situation all you can do is hope that your daily reward car will be something useful.
Or grinding for exhaust upgrade parts, and class specific upgrade parts.

In todays Forza Friday Show they talked about the game.
So that guy was like: okay if you want to upgrade your car, you just go here and use those exhaust upgrade parts.
He had 20 of those, so under normal circumstances he played that daily upgrade event for 7 days to collect that much.
Not a single word about how slow the progression in this game is.

I just wish they would communicate with us and explain some of those things.
At this point the players have to figure everything out on their own.
