Forza Mulitplayer needs License Test Lobbies in next Forza

hello…

after playing multiplayer for years and in FM6 it’s really mixed, i’ve noticed there is a lot of good clean racers who give room, clean & fast, good fun
and then there is a group of instant rage racers like they brake test you and/or hit you up the backside on next corner after a good other take.
and theres the demolition crazy racers…well that speaks for itself  its funny & fine but get your own room  - like drift rooms etc.

therefore, i would like to see something like in GranTurismo, License Test Grades and implement them into the multiplayer lobbies.
all tests should be a time based skill level on all tracks & basic driving skills…time brackets style too…1.00.500 - 1.05.500 you get License A1 for example.
so in the Lobby you choose what Class Racing you want, example - “Class R” then select license " A1 only or higher " higher grades will be open if you want to race against the fastest,
but lower License Grades can not join Higher Grades…maybe top 3 Grades locked out
and/or maybe another choice could be “Class R with Mixed License” too…just for fun, if your in the mood.

any thoughts bad or good are welcome…feel free to add or totally delete this

we all want to race fair - win sometimes cause in the end its a game…not real life Formula1.
i dont want to race against a top 5 racer all the time and i’m sure he/she does not want to race against someone who is 10 seconds off his/her lap time.

and yes, there should be Achievements for License Tests too ;p

I’ve been saying this for ages!!
Players should pass a freaking driving license before being able to play in certain lobbies!!!

I don’t think it would work as the people who want to wreck would just try really hard to pass the tests and then just go in to lobbies and do their thing. I think there needs to be some kind of penalty system like P cars or F1. In pcars when you cut the track you get limited to I think 40 mph, and the more you cut the more amount of time you get this penalty for. If you do it enough you’ll eventually get disqualified. I don’t think doing this with contact between other cars is good because then people could just ram right into you and get both of you a penalty.

Again, all of this could be fixed with custom pub lobbies or just a better functioning kick button.

I’m not talking about wreckers. Of course they would find a way.
I’m talking about noobs. If a player is not skilled enough (braking, turning, overtaking etc) he can’t join a specific lobby.

I want both, driving licenses AND time/speed penalties.

And the old visible votekick system. To let everyone in the lobby know that we’re kicking a noob or a wrecker.

Well if that’s what your talking about, they already have that, kind of… It’s the leagues but only the Pinnacle division, and even in there it’s still a problem. There’s always at least one person in the lobby who has to ruin it for everyone. By cutting the track or just driving recklessly. I honestly believe it’s mandatory to have a penalty system from now on. It’s kind of ridiculous. Get rid of all the ugly tire barriers all over the track and just put the sticky grass dirt in its place. They really have a problems with their decision making. They put tires walls all over they place in spots where they don’t need to be and then where they need to be they are not. Correct me if I’m wrong but I remember at the very beginning of the game there used to not be a tire wall on daytona on the bus stop. People would just blow right through. Now that I think about it, it might have been Watkins, or it could have been both. But they added them into the game. So there’s no reason to not to put one in the biggest cut spot in the game. Monza. Only for online though. So we can race that track online again. Reason being is rivals everyone has already cheated and set laps. They would have to implement to online only, or they can do both but they would have to reset the boards for that track.

Seems like that would be more fun for all involved. I personally would prefer to race in a similar class against people that make honest mistakes similar to the ones I make. I am by no means a perfect racer and I make mistakes, its part of the learning process. But if I do make a mistake, I promptly apologize and cede the position if possible and go on from there.
Sure I want to be on the imaginary podium but the real cheese for me is pulling off that perfect pass or occupying a faster cars rear view mirror until he blows it trying to get me off his tail. I’ll take that over a podium any day.

Not a bad idea, but won’t necessarily solve the problem. Greifers are there to spoil. They will qualify for your licence, then cause havoc.

Your idea may work in conjunction with other means, e.g. proper vote to kick, or in game algorithms that can detect intention collisions. I’m always confused by the in game stats that show ‘major collisions’. What’s the definition of this? How is it measured? Can it be used to identify wrecker’s gamertags, or IP addresses?

I do think you’re on the right line, and I also think there’s a solution rather than private lobbies. I still think if the game dished out ‘next race ban’ the wreckers would get bored and move on.

I like the structured licenses too. Add to it the points system for revocation and we’re more like the real world.
