Indeed! I would buy this, but not the standard elite controller. I absolutely love the U shaped thumb holder for the left stick. I had those on my 360 controller for FM4, but have yet to find any for X1. This would help smooth out my motions in sweepers immensely.

Kontrol Freek make the U shaped thing for the XB1 pad, i use one on XB1 as i did on the 360.
The XB1 version is in two parts which raises it up higher than the standard stick.
Guarantee you we’ll never see anything like this mass-produced.
However, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of MS releasing add-ons like the steering wheel analog stick , which would be pretty cool.
Is the left stick only horizontal? If so, I doubt demand would allow them to produce it. I really like the textured paddles though. I’d probably like it even more if the bottom and top paddles had different textures so you could distinguish the paddles by feel.
It has the plastic surround which limits it purely to horizontal movement. I’d presume if something like that stick were to be produced, it’d be removable.
In order to make it more usable as an “all around” ELITE controller, it would be great if the surround could be removed and if you can change the thumbstick to one of the others, but in all seriousness, that kind of attachment is something the ELITE controller should have as an option! I would so definitely buy this controller if they were to ever make it, though. Barring that, I think someone mentioned there are special sticks available from Kontrol Freek, correct? May have to go with that option… unless…?
Yes I have a vertical plate on my stick. It’s so I can only nod my drivatars head when asked if I like the addition of mod cards from a shooter…

Looks way better than the elite controller! Would buy one.
This is the controller that should have been included with the Forza edition Xbone. I would have gladly paid more for this and would instantly cancel my order for the Elite controller if there was any chance of them producing this.
Yeah that block off plate would be AWFUL.
As a guy who uses sim steering, you need to be able to press forward to some degree to correct a slide, I bet this would actually make the game more difficult and is probably why this controller wasn’t made and didn’t come with the Forza Xbox.
This is not for sale, though I would purchase this along with my current elite controller.
Are these more accurate than regular controllers other than the extensions?
