Next year is the 10th anniversary of Forza Motorsport on the original Xbox. Fable and Halo: Combat Evolved both received 10 year remastered anniversary editions. The Action RPG and the FPS got the treatment, now will their racer be so fortunate? I certainly hope so. To experience all the original tracks (day/night, point to point/circuit), region locked gameplay, added achievements and challenges, along with updated textures all powered by the Xbox One would be truly awesome. Especially to those too young or through other unfortunate means who haven’t got to experience where this franchise started. You have my vote T10.
I can’t say I give my vote to this idea. Let the nostalgic feeling stick with loading the original Forza Motorsport thru Forza Motorsport 4 into an Xbox 360. Works fine for me.
Additionally, an issue which resides in remastering a racing title is that the trademark licenses for many of the aftermarket upgrades, track facilities, manufacturers and vehicle models have surely since expired. As a result, recreating the older Forza franchise titles would certainly lead to the omission of a lot of content or a new budget would need to be set aside for spending the money to renew those licenses - money that I wouldn’t think is available for such an endeavor.
Furthermore, each subsequent Forza title is, for all intents and purposes, the rebirth of the former in some shape and form. Much of the content is reworked to satisfy the current generation gaming requirements (graphical and physics-wise), while providing new content that will, as such, carry on into the future. Your request to rebuild an older Forza game is essentially what is being done with this new console generation - former track environments and vehicle models are being redone for the current platform.
Lastly, few gaming franchises are on the same production cycle as Forza. With Forza Motorsport 6 anticipated in Fall of 2015, I’m not sure what manpower can be allocated to work on such a project without hiring a larger team with money that, arguably, may or may not be available for Turn 10’s spending.
To me, what seems to be a great way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this series is for Turn 10 to come out swinging in a big way with the reveal of Forza Motorsport 6 at or around the 10-year-mark.
I agree with this to. I must say one thing tho it would be cool to bring it back in a way original content like tracks I.e point to point races/tracks my god please do that ! A short little film and book to show you from back in the day to now things like that I would like at no extra cost just a small thank you for 10 years of supporting forza from its ups to it downs. I remember when I first played forza epic ! Racing point to point in my pearlescent Subaru with after market rear light and a body kit ha! Or the first time I saw drifting properly on forza 2 online ! To forza 3 blowing every car game out the water with all the stuff they added like points drifting clubs more cars ! Then forza 4,5 with amazing graphics changing what we as a whole expect from a racing game then horizon branching out and making a game the community wanted and was a great stepping stone towards the amazing looking horizon 2 .
P.s didn’t mean it to be that long whoops ! So much for one thing
Maybe an anniversary DLC for the next Motorsport. It could just include the T10 created tracks, and thereby avoid licensing issues? You basically have your Forza 6, and then they release a DLC of Forza 1 tracks for it. That would be a great compromise. This would get my vote!
I believe that remastering the first would be tough, because Turn 10 would have to make every car in that game Xbox One quality, and not all of the cars made the cut. Also, Porsche would be a problem, obviously.
To my belief, an IOS/Android/Windows Phone/Windows 8/Nook/Kindle Fire/any other smartphone/tablet port would work better.

Had that idea, too. But only 2 supporters so far
Just give us Fujimi Kaido in FM6 as a throwback to the original and I’ll be happy.
Forza Motorsport 6 is due out in 2015, so I don’t see the value in a 10th anniversary of the original. I could see FM6 having some sort of celebration of the tenth anniversary worked into the game, but not just a stand-alone game when a full sequel is due out that year.
“What makes you so sure FM6 is due out in 2015? Turn 10 never said that.” They don’t have to. FM came out in 2005, FM2 in 2007, FM3 in 2009, FM4 in 2011, and FM5 in 2013, so if you continue this very obvious trend you get FM6 in 2015. It just stands to reason. Forza is what Turn 10 does; it’s all they do. It’s not like EA or whoever that produces a list of games every year. If they don’t release a Forza in 2015 then they don’t have a game for 2015 which means a year with no major revenue. “They could sell a 10th Anniversary edition…” Yeah, or they could sell a new game.
