Forza Motorsport 7 capped at 17.9FPS... Any Help?

HI all,

I am in dire need of help. Everytime I run Forza 7 (PC) my gameplay is capped at 17.9FPS. This has only just happened after doing a windows update but since I have formatted my entire system and I am still left with the same result.

I run the game at 4K max settings and previously I was getting 80-90FPS BUTT even when lowering the setting to 720p and everything on low I get 17.9FPS again… I managed to change a registery setting that fixed it for one session and then the game closed and went back to the 17.9! Even on the bench mark I get smooth FPS on that but then it finishes and nothing changes.

My system is as follows:

i7 6700k
16GB DDR4 RAM
EVGA FTW GTX1080
Asus Hero VIII Mobo
2TB Seagate HDD (game installed on)
500GB SSD (Boot)

I am running all the latest updates from windows/game and all the latest drivers but still suffering this problem. Has anyone got any help or is suffering the same problem?
