Motorsport got ~20 minutes of time in todays showcase, horison recieved nore than double that. And yes, it is horizons 2 year anniversary, but i would argue that a new games 1 month update is just as important, if not more important, than a games 2 year update
And they gave them back in the worst way possible, with one of them being FOMO.
Also, the Car Pass being full of all of the race cars we were led to believe would be in the launch game is exceptionally scummy. This update is mid at best, and it will not stop the bleeding. The only question now is how far this goes before Turn 10, or whateverâs left of it, decides they want to fix it.
Whats with the TBA spotlight cars for this week. from what they were sayin there is no new cars until the following week, the 23rd
Next month can the horizon crew do the motorsport section. they went into so much more detail on all the coming content.
these âmonthlyâ updates are just big signs theyâre holding up to come spend money on cars we already gave you. A real game changer would be WEEKLY updates not for content but for actual fixes. Look at any of the top games not just racing games, they all do weekly updates that promote better gameplay therefore bringing in more players.
Forza might be the only games that do monthly updates and by the time the next update rolls out how many people are still gonna be playing this game when you canât even fix the problems stopping them from playing like crashes, freezing etc.
I propose monthly content updates along side weekly fixes and quality of life updates that is what this game needs to bring in the player base
T10: Hey guys we found the cause of the infinite loading bug but you canât have that fix until next week.
Are they serious? People canât play the game due to how broken it is yet T10 think itâs acceptable to force us to wait? There should be weekly updates. If thereâs a game breaking bug (or in FMâs case lots of game breaking bugs) that should be a priority not an afterthought. Unbelievable.
Those 2 shouldâve been there. Theyâre in charge. Theyâre the ones that made the creative decisions for this trainwreck. The least they could do is face the fans and explain themselves. The buck stops with them.
But see, thatâs how it works. Theyâre the bosses and in this world, bosses can delegate and so they did, to two awkward dudes, one of whom thinks itâs pronounced âVelo-Starâ.
Unbelievable that over 200 bugs have to be fixed after a release⌠embarrassing thing, I wouldnât be proud of that at all.
Not a word about the Builders Cup progress saving bug⌠really???
Not a word about the disappearing track surfaces⌠really???
I maintain that this gameâs PC playerbase will be either nonexistent or close to it by the New Year, and console will be closely behind it. Sure, the quick hits of dopamine theyâll get from shipping the Nordschleife here and a Bugatti there will make the numbers look nice for a momentâŚbut all those will be are dead cat bounces. And even those will lose their effectiveness in short order. Their competitors are making strides towards improving their games, and Turn 10âs just floundering. I think some people are going to have to leave that studio before this game gets to where it needs to be and Turn 10 can start regaining community trust; Dan and Chris definitely, and probably more than that.
Iâd be more impressed if there was a list of those bugs fixed that was generated from a bug tracker. An arbitrary â200â count makes it seem like they just picked a number that might make people happy.
Not only did Esaki or Greenawalt not show up they also disabled commenting because they knew exactly the response they would get. Fans are angry and all they do is stick their heads in the sand hoping weâll go away. Heads need to roll.
This game is great example of what happens when you stay in a little echo chamber and donât listen to any outside criticism. T10 obviously didnât properly test this game and now we are the ones that are expected to be their beta testers.
