Forza Horizon Xbox One graphic glitches

I did not see a place for technical discussion, or issue feedback, so I assume this catch-all space is the place to say this. I would like to begin with something that I had noticed beginning with Forza 5. In Forza 5, the image in the menu for any car in my garage (and not for any car in the Buy Cars area) would have small vertical green lines all over it. The same thing happens in Forza Horizon 2, but it seems only customized cars in my garage are affected. A car with an original paint job, and all original parts, was unaffected. I have not played the game for very long, so I cannot confirm under exactly what circumstances this occurs in Horizon 2. However, as this issue did not really affect gameplay, I chose to ignore it in Forza 5. More recently, I noticed a more serious error, that started in the demo, and continued in the full game release. Sometimes, there would be small squares all over the display, popping in and out. Worse than that are the lighting issues. Sometimes, the environment would just flash, as if there was a light somewhere. Worse still is an issue that I am experiencing with the full game: entire textures, mostly of cars, are flashing green and purple. These graphical issues do not affect Forza 5, from what I can tell, but they do affect Horizon. I thought that it might be my Xbox hardware, but it only seems to be affecting this game. I confess, I do not own many other games on the Xbox One to test if any other games are affected. Is this an issue that others have experienced? Can anyone confirm that the problem lies with the hardware? Are there any suggestions other than deleting all game data, and reinstalling the game (I tried that, it only made it worse)? It might be worth mentioning that my console is running the Dashboard Preview.

Not seen any of that on mine and I am on the preview, it sounds like it might be a GPU problem with the Xbox. Might be best best to contact MS support and speak to them.

Definitely sounds like a hardware fault. Doesn’t have to happen on all games for it to be a hardware fault either. Could be a specific issue affecting the way forza accesses the gpu, ram, esram or any combination that highlights it, but the things you’ve outlined point to hardware fault not a game issue. Contact MS support and get a replacement or repair.

I have also noticed issues with Horizon 2 in that textures on buildings and trees etc sometimes pop in very late, I have had it where everything paused and all textures vanished then came back as if the X1@s memory was full then flushing itself (sorry I’m not sure of the technical terms) I did record it but can’t figure out how to post it on here. Has anyone else seen this?
Oh and incase it makes a differance I am part of the preview program on X1

Never noticed this in Forza Horizon 2 at all.
So far all textures and models have loaded fine and I have played the game 10 hours +. I am on xbox preview as well.

Note:- you can upload your clips to Onedrive then you can put it in a shared folder which you can make public, OneDrive then gives you a public link that can be passed to anyone.

I’m afraid to say… it appears to be the same issue I had a few days after the console launched. Does it look like this by any chance?

The issue started off quite small with just a few squares visible, but over time it became worse and began to look like the picture above. On Dead Rising 3 the artifacts were even worse! The squares would be completely black and fill half of the screen. It literally looked like someone had just drawn over half of the image with Microsoft Paint!

Sadly, the only solution is to contact Microsoft Support and arrange for your console to be repaired/replaced.

SeanSAFC89, it looked something like that, but the squares were less numerous, and slightly larger.

DJ KRIME, the issue is not that textures are not loading. The affected cars have the proper textures, but the texture flashes green/purple occasionally.

And then there is the whole lighting issue. I suppose I should just contact Microsoft, if no software update addresses this issue.

The issue that I’m getting is not related to any of the cars but the surroundings ie trees and buildings, I have also noticed that when stationary the cars shadow wobbles around as if the game isn’t sure of where the sun is positioned.
