I reserved Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate (physical copy) for XBOX ONE several weeks ago. Recently checked on my pre-order status at gamestop.com, and it shows it has been cancelled (no reason given).
Has Microsoft pulled the physical release of the Ultimate edition of the game?
Anyone have an explanation of whats going on with the pre-order? Gamestop customer service has yet to email me back.

Based on previous game releases … you won’t find any help here about game purchases made through other outlets besides Microsoft and the official outlets here. They simply don’t have any information and will just tell you to check with the outlet where you purchased the game.
I hope they didn’t pull the physical copy of ultimate edition, even though i had mine preordered at my local GameStop the week it was made available to preorder and finished paying it off last month; I guess i’ll go and check to see if it’s really been pulled.
Edit: Just checked with my local GS and my reserve is still good; i believe the problem OP is having is that the cutoff point for physical copies of ultimate edition may have been reached unfortunately
I preordered the physical ultimate edition from Gamestop at the end of June, paid in full and haven’t heard about it being cancelled. I don’t know how to check the status of it online, but I do know they haven’t refunded me any money. The physical ultimate edition was removed from their website and if you search it on google Gamestop has it listed as out of stock. I wonder if they sold too many preorders and are cancelling some of them, I remember Best Buy cancelling some FM4 ultimate edition preorders.
I am going in this Wednesday to pick up Tomb Raider so I will ask about my Forza preorder then.

Forza status is listed as “Not Picked Up” with “0” days left until release, paid in full. Does your’s say cancelled here?
Tomb Raider is listed as “Coming Soon” with “2” days left until release, paid in full
Call of Duty WWII is listed as “Picked Up” with “0” days left until release, paid in full.
baritone mike… today it changed from cancelled to Status: coming soon and 17 days. Well thats good news

It’s not cancelled. For some reason there is a glitch in the GameStop.com and app where it doesn’t show you that pre-ordered. I work at GameStop and have it pre-ordered and went to work just to make sure it was still on my list. It’s the only game that shows up like that for me but I do know that other people have called in about different games that were not showing up on their pre-order list
It’s not cancelled. There’s something in GameStop system that doesn’t show it on your app or GameStop.com. I work there and checked. And have had a few calls about other people’s pre-order for different games because of the same thing
I called my store after I read this thread, mine is still valid. I was told they aren’t sure why the physical version isn’t being offered any more, but they have not received any notice that they will not be getting any physical copies.
It sounds like maybe there was a production or pre-order limit that has been reached.
Edit: I was also told that in the event they were not getting any physical copies, I would be notified and arrangements would be made, so it sounds like even if they don’t get any copies, they will take care of people who pre-ordered and make it right, or at least my store will.
