Forza and Hot Wheels, why?

Hi all,

First off, what a great car pack with fantastic new rides. From the looks of the promo
The modellig looks superb.

However the have also annouced the’ve partnerd up with Hot Wheels.
But i’m left wondering how we could possibly could benefit from this?
Fictional childish rides in the game? No thank you!

Whereas Gran Turismo joins up with the FIA for licensing, we get Hot Wheels.
Could it be that HW has licensing T10 hasn’t got yet, and trough that we will
Be enabled to get more cars in the game? And if so what has Hot Wheels got
for agreements T10 hasn’t?

So for now i’m not overly exited…
Any comments, views, opinions or information on this?

Thanks

We won’t get fictional cars to drive/race on FM5. SMH. It will be licensed real vehicles, just have hot wheels name with it.

If this partnership means we’ll be getting more awesome packs, then I’m all for it.

Maybe a Porsche-pack for the Ring. It’s looks like Hot Wheels have some Porsche cars in the Car Collection

Forza, Where dreams are driven.

Hot Wheels, where you can buy a scale version of your dream , so long as you can find it.

It’s the perfect combo, I’ve been a collector of Hot Wheels since the 90’s, soon after I stopped getting them to just play with them, I grew out of playing with them and grew into collecting. I still have my massive collection in the crawl space. You say why, I say why not.

Two different companies, one major relatable passion, cars.

This. EXACTLY THIS. I’m in the same boat as you, Verrukt, but running out of space!

Hot Wheels has a MASSIVE adult collectorship (to the point where they release “for adult collectors only” stuff quite often), and some of the biggest big boy car people I know, from journalists, to racers, to owners, are huge Hot Wheels fans.

Ntm HW is one of–if not THE only–mass-market manufacturer that has a Ferrari license.

I think it’s a great idea for a partnership, ntm that IMO, this pack ranks #2 of all packs released for all Forza titles.

Now, if I could only find that pesky Veneno HW model…

What’s wrong with Hot Wheels? Guess you’re a Matchbox guy huh lol!

Hahaha don’t get me wrong both Hot Wheels and Matchbox have entertained me when I was a kid playing on the living room rug.

All i’m suggesting is that Forza Motorsports isn’t place for Hot Wheels right now…

Hot Wheels is about far more than their own original lineup. Most of their money is made from their Adult Collectables, collections made specifically for the Adult Collector. Their little custom creations are just a very minor thing, They are involved in NASCAR, and other racing foundations as well. Have been for a great many years now, Kyle Petty was in fact sponsored by them for a few years. So I still say why not.

Not all of their cars are fictional and I know Mongoose or whatever the dragster is called is a real car. I remember seeing it at a car auction on tv and that’s what first popped into my mind when I heard the partnership.

While Don Prudhomme’s yellow Plymouth Barracuda is the most recognizable and most popular, I love his U.S. Army sponsored Chevy Vega & Plymouth Arrow. Hot Wheels, has a ton more than fantasy cars. As a kid I never wanted the fantasy cars, I had nothing but the race cars because they recreated the most interesting and eye catching ones.

A couple years ago, Hot Wheels certainly could have produced a car that looked very much like this:

Today, that’s a real-world $4.1 million super car… Or do you consider it to be a “Fictional childish ride” ?

Fictional no…childish ride…yes? This is the sort of car that my 6 year old boy loves. He appears to have the same tastes as billionaires.

It means we’ll finally get tracks with vertical loops. If we’re lucky, we may get the ability to throw turtle shells at the Drivatars.

Ah man that sounds like another cool idea for a forza spin-off. Totally arcade, but forza presents hot wheels and hot wheel tracks. I’m crazy enough to buy it, if it was done well.

As a grown adult with a collection of tiny hot wheels muscle cars amongst others gracing my shelving, I’m quite excited. Has anyone considered that maybe the partnership will go the other way, maybe they will be producing tiny forza 5 themed cars… Paint competition anyone? I for one would love a tiny version of any of my paints immortalised for me to keep forever!

This would be my dream come true, make a design in Forza , for it to be immortalized on a Hot Wheels car, would be amazing. Truly, amazing.

I think it’s pretty cool. And interesting that Hot wheels has a few Porsches in the lineup. Is this Turn 10’s Porsche approved workaround to the EA and Porsche licensing? Hmm…

very simple, no.
