Forza a simulator? Future client disruption/loss?

PARTICULAR bans are not to be discussed, but we can discuss them as an overall concern. None of this is mentioned in section 4 (or any section) of Forza 7 Community Standards. Little bumps here and there should not result in total loss of Multiplayer capabilities. We are losing a lot of good people. People whom we need. This is a huge concern in our beloved community.

You do not get banned for racing incidents, you get banned for

  1. Dive bombing which turns into a wreck
  2. Ramming
  3. Shoving
  4. Punting

All of the above are violations of for motorsports rules and they are pretty lenient on this. If you were to play a game that is much more strict, like iRacing for example, most of these drivers would have been perma banned a long time ago. The reason why this game loses drivers like me is simply because

  1. Poor race craft shown by most of the community to include faster drivers who just hot lap and not race

  2. Lack of balance of cars

  3. No private lobbies that are public so anyone can join

The above are the top 3 reasons why this game is bleeding faster drivers. I’ve spoken to many of them myself. The only reason why I still come back to this game over AC or iRacing, is because I need to use a wheel to play those games and I don’t feel like using a wheel all the time and it’s perfect for players who do not wish to do so.

Thank you for the very good reply. I see all of your points that you have made. However, Ive noticed people arent racing as hard as they used to. Anytime I get into an accident, im scared to death the next time that I log in. Racing hard is difficult knowing if you accidently spin someone out, you may get banned. NOW, I can understand a break from that particular class or public lobbys. BUT, to ban from all of multiplayer is wrong…

Dive bombing = late brake - racing incident
Ramming = agree
Shoving = rubbing is racing
Punting = for sure

I agree that the rules around driving standards and punishments are harsh. Ban for a week, ban for a month. A little excessive in my opinion. I lost the desire to play the game after being banned twice. I reached out via email to try to get some clarification on why I was banned with no response.

As an employee of Sony, I should probably be playing GT, but I really like this game. I’d like to continue to support it! Please consider your fan base!

Some good compromises would be, not permanent ban after 3 strikes. Maybe 5-7, and shorter ban periods. I have been shut off for a week and then a month. With 2 strikes, it’s hard to get competitive when you feel like you are driving on thin ice. I really hope these points can be taken into consideration, it’s a sweet game otherwise!
