Currently when trying to play everything works fine until the menu comes up to sign in, i sign in and click “Let’s Play”. It signs in successfully, but then in the splash screen when i try and hit “Enter”, This screen pops up.
After it loads for a while it closes automatically and im back on that same splash screen, hitting enter again causes it to pop up again and then close again. And i have never gotten past it.
I have tried to following:
Updating all drivers.
Re registering the Xbox packages using powershell.
Logging in and out of my xbox account and trying a different account.
I ensured that the firewall was running and that the programs are allowed through it, tried turning the firewall off also.
Made sure windows was up to date.
Any suggestions are extremely appreciated i was looking forward all day to playing!
right click start - RUN - type “services.msc” … scroll down below and all the Xbox-Services should be either on “manual” or “automatic” , it should not be “disabled”
I had sort of the same problem at first, unfortunately for me the only thing that worked was a complete clean reinstall of Windows10.
I can’t even get that far. Took the day off to play it and spent the last 24 hours trying to get it working. Once I got past my download issues it still won’t start. Currently chatting with MS about a refund.
Same here. But I have it working on my laptop. My main PC needs a reload anyway, but I am going to wait until the Fall Creators Update comes out in 2 weeks before I do it. Until then, I’ll just play on my laptop.
Hey im not sure if it works for you if you even have it on ofc. i am running with MSI Afterburner to look after cpu and gpu heat and so on. if i have Rivertuner “software req to look up thous cpu and gpu infos ingame” it wont get past the splash screen. after i turned it off it worked just great. if you dont run msi afterburner then there might be some other software that gives the same issue. try disable all not needed software just for testing. cn always turn it back on if it dont work. hope it helps.
I’m in exactly the same boat… Managed to get past the preload errors, then over 8 hours downloading and I’m just repeatedly prompted to ‘PRESS ENTER TO START’ and nothing happens.
Just uninstalled MSI AfterBurner - no change
Updated to the latest AMD drivers last night - no change
Manually started all the XBOX services, and set them to automatic - no change
Can you try logging into that different account on the Xbox App and the Windows Store at the same time? Once the store doesn’t show anything downloading, sign out of both store and the Xbox App, sign into your normal account and try launching the game again.
