Forza 7 vs Project Cars 2 (Spoiler Alert: Forza Wins)

I’ve been playing Forza since Forza 4, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. When Forza 7 was released, I was truly excited for the next iteration in the franchise. Upon release, though, it seemed like the game wasn’t quite finished. Some features simply weren’t available, some very obvious features had been removed, there were numerous glitches.

Probably the biggest fault of Forza 7 though was, and still is, the car audio. For the majority of the cars, it’s awful. It doesn’t do a good job of immersing the player in the game. When driving with chase cam, the cars have extremely weak exhaust notes. Recently, I tried to do something about this and downloaded Project Cars 2. I have to say…the difference in car audio is stunning. The audio is perfect regardless of what camera view you are using. Project Cars 2 is not without fault however. As it turns out, the game is almost entirely unplayable, at least with a controller. I had heard people complain about this but I didn’t think the problem was that bad.

In any case, I think Forza ultimately takes the cake here. The audio is severely lacking, but the overall experience from Forza is much more enjoyable.

you complaining about the audio? is there going to be another test drive game coming out?

People having such difficulties playing Project Cars, saying it’s “unplayable”, should try playing with “racing cars”.

Try GT3 or other racing categories. They are super easy to control. Standard road cars or some specific categories can be difficult, yes, sometimes annoying, but most racing cars are easy as Forza.
