Does anyone actually like this old rock stuff anymore? The sound track for FM4 was the last one that was any good. FM5 was bearable and FM6 was a bit of an improvement but this latest nonsense is ****.
Why can’t T10 take a leaf out of PG Games’ book and put a decent soundtrack in? It’s one of the first things you notice when you start up a game and if it’s pants it puts a bit of a downer on the whole experience. Then add in the terrible contrast setting on a normal 1080p screen and you’ve got a fairly miserable experience before you’ve even got into a car.
Maybe it’s because we Brits live in grey, cloudy conditions most of the time that we like a bit of sunshine in our gaming. That’s why the Horizon titles are so much more enjoyable these days. The intros are always fun, bright and have a great soundtrack. I think the first hour at least of FM7 should have been sunny and bright with some decent tunes in a fun little Spec race like the Mazda MX-5 spec race cars or some single seaters like Formula Ford. I’m really not impressed with the game so far. The PC issues continue (and I have a very powerful gaming laptop) and on the Xbox One it looks worse than FM5!
What are we supposed to do to enjoy this game? Buy an Xbox One X, an OLED 4K TV and a Groove Music subscription? Does FM7 even have a Groove Music interface?
Yeah, I think the only way forward is to turn the music of completely and play your own music in the background. It’s a shame but it’s true. If you have to sit in a darkened room (because the contrast setting are so dark) the last thing you want is miserable music too!
Let’s hope FM7 isn’t responsible for multiple suicides this winter! :-/

Well, this is exactly why we all need Spotify, right? Like, RIGHT NOW! They did officially say that Spotify is going to be integrated into Forza 7, right?
I have premium so i disable ingame musics. I liked 6 music. It was good balance between races. But now i got only spotify in background so integrated player would be awesome.
I meant more along the lines of Microsof buying it and then they can incorporate it into their various media platforms and games and then I can listen to my favourite mixes by Butzi in Dolby 5.1 whilst hooning it round Maple Valley in my favourite caars! BOOOMM!
I should work at Microsoft - It would be like Apple and Red Bull combined with a bit more zizz and phwoor! And Boom!
Groove music is being scrapped at the end of this year and they are suggesting that playlists are migrated over to Spotify. If anything gets integrated my money would be on Spotify.
i agree with you the i turn off and listen to Pandora or iheart radio and the lighting is really bad heck i can’t even see in the tunnels and all this bad weather is driving me crazy too i mean come on now every other race has bad weather in it and the tracks are also bad too all they did was move from the other game get real forza 1 is still the best game they ever did.
