Amen !

So I got all nostalgic last night and put on a YouTube playlist of the the Forza 2 soundtrack. It got me thinking how lame the in-game soundtrack has been from FM3 onwards, unremarkable waiting room / elevator music.

Can we please in FM7 have something a bit more akin to FM2’s soundtrack. I know the royalty costs are probably more than employing one guy to compose generic electro-chill out music, but even still.

I LOVED the soundtrack to Forza 6. The music in 3 and 4 was okay, and 5 was way over the top and didn’t fit the game at all. But Forza 6 they got it perfect. I’m kind of sad they didn’t stick with that style for Forza 7, but c’est la vie.

In more direct answer to the OP, Forza 7 has a more rock influenced soundtrack, though I don’t think it will have any tracks from popular artists. As far as I know, Kaveh Cohen and Michael Nielsen (who did the music for Forza 6) have composed/produced the Forza 7 soundtrack as well.

See this video, you can hear the music in the background: Forza Motorsport 7 - 20 Minutes of Gameplay Demo (E3 2017) 4K - YouTube

I think its pretty awesome that the game also chooses to turn off the in-race music by default. The only music I need is the symphony of roaring engines

I hope I can put my own music in.

So another waiting room soundtrack. Booooring

This. I’ll happily upload the FM 1 and 2 soundtracks onto the game myself

Yeah Forza 5 OST was atrocious. Forza 6 had a pretty solid OST, I think we should save the mainstream music for the Horizon games.

Well I did not buy for the music as with all my games music will be turned off or volume for it set to zero so it matters not at all to me what it is. But if you like it then enjoy the music.

Yep, all “music” switched to off !!

The background music has a nice psychological effect on the racing brain and needs to be retained in FM7, in whatever fashion, hopefully as cool as the music in FM6!

I knew my fears would be confirmed. What happened to the awesome music in Forza 1 and 2? Why can’t they use a more hard rock driven soundtrack here? Forza 5’s soundtrack was bad and odd in comparison, and Forza 6’s soundtrack was a step above Forza 5’s but still not an improvement.

Seems cool for me, especially like the effect that at the track the music sounds like it’s coming from the speakers at the race-track. It’s similar to Dirt4.

Anyway I also liked Forza 6 menu music. Background music should be something like that - it shouldn’t be too dominant, it’s BACKGROUND. My favourite music style is technical brutal death metal but I wouldn’t like to hear that in a racing game, such loud and agressive tunes would distract me from the game. Those soft rock pieces heard in the video linked above seems to be a great choice. Also a good idea to keep it instrumental - songs with vocals and lyrics become repetitive in a much shorter time.

Is there any additional information on Groove Music in Forza 7? I just want to know how Groove will work in the game and if ALL MP3 files in your OneDrive will definitely work, thanks.

I would like this too.

I think it will work like in FH3.

It does.

The thing is that I want the option to disable music altogether, including the speakers, think of streamers and the risk of getting their videos taken down for copyright infringiment…
