Spotify Support?

Just a quick question, does anyone know if Forza Motorsport 7 will support Spotify since it is available on Xbox now? I kind of hope so since I use Spotify Premium all the time, and we already know Groove Music is supported.

Probably not as the game is already confirmed to have Groove integration. I’m sure Microsoft would rather not have 2 competing Music services integrated into the same game, Especially since Microsoft Owns Groove.

Dear Turn 10

I know I’ve been complaining about this for so long, but, when is Spotify going to be integrated into Forza 7?

Is it really coming to the game?

Me and a variety of gamers are really dying to play our own songs in the game, like in Horizon 3 with Groove.

Is there a predictable date?

Let us know as soon as you get anything.

Kind regards,

I’m sorry Snowowl this isn’t actually for a wishlist. IIRC this was a feature we were told prior to release would be incorporated into the game. So it would case of asking T10 to make good on their word, not just a speculative wish for a feature.

Spotify can already be used on Xbox:

As far as OneDrive integration there hasn’t been any announcement in the past three months other than the September 15 WIR broadly discussing features coming after launch.

I’ve been using Spotify since before Forza 7 … download the app on Xbox and make your album, start it playing or at any point during playing Forza 7 pause and go back to the home screen and start up Spotify and start playing your album. Go back to home screen and while in home screen click back on Forza 7 and continue to play while listening to your music. If you go into settings in Forza turn off in game music and adjust any sounds you want to minimise so all the engine sounds etc sound a little less make it even better kinda like you are in a car listening to music while still hearing some road noise. So in a nutshell just turn off or turn down anything you don’t wish to hear … works a treat and makes them extra long races a little more bearable :+1:

The console supports Spotify as a background music option.

Forza Motorsport 7 does not support Spotify or any other service as a dynamic in-game option.

THIS BROKE MY HEART!!!

You said it would be integrated into the game, but it was all a LIE!!!

I’m rather disappointed to at least not see groove return.

I mean, really, guys. You could have copy/pasted the code from horizon and saved years of dev time from the look of it… instead you went and broke a truckload of things that you had right before. Headlights, music, AI, liveries, cars…

Y’all really made a racing game without any real music and you didn’t even include a Supra or AE86. Is this all going to be some $30 dlc expansion?

This isn’t Microsoft or Turn 10’s fault it is Toyota’s, they wouldn’t grant a license, something to do with a car sales slump. Toyoto blame the gaming industry for this slump as they games are becoming so realistic that people feel less need to buy new expensive sports cars.

Japanese companies are also very insular when it comes to granting licenses to non-Japanese companies.
It’s why we have seen almost all Japanese road tracks vanish from every recent racing game.
Somehow Suzuka has managed to slip through the net though, although Project Cars 2 calls it Sakkito.

I expect in the future we may see more licenses start to vanish from Japanese cars.

How dare you confuse me for some kind of peasant. Away with you, filthy console dregs.

Sigh… and the PC community has arrived to Forza… Hurray…

While I did think that user’s post was all sorts of wrong, you know a huge amount of people have a PC and an Xbox yeah?

So the PC community has always been with Forza.

on the real real though it was a promised feature afterall, I was really hopping to hear my Drum & Bass music in the background intergrated in the games atmosphere, yes I know you can open up Groove or Spotify or whatever media app you want but it just doesn’t feel the same
