Is there anyone out there that has actually played Forza 7 on the One X? And if so…is it THAT much better than the Standard one or one S? Im only keeping hold of Forza 7 for this console now to see how much it improves?
What are you expecting? I don’t think gameplay will be different just visuals. I’ll be upgrading to the X but don’t expect anything more than HDR and cleaner lines, although that will be enough. Oh yeah, also faster load times. My original Xbox one is fairly slow to load things compared to newer boxes so hoping the X is even better.
Have you got an HDR tv? I’m playing it at roughly X1X setup but on pc through a 4k HDR tv and it’s truly stunning visually.
I would not get my hopes up for faster loading. The hard drive in One X is comparable to what we have now, but it has to fill up more RAM (4K textures). So if anything it will be slower, HDD read speeds are the limiting factor here.
The XBox One and XBox One S use a 5400rpm HHD, the X comes with a 7200rpm HHD. So it is faster to make up for higher quality assets.
Urgh. So sad that they’re still not using SSDs. 5,400rpm or 7,200rpm are both utter trash.
Well, that’s one of the benefits that the XBox team has been talking about forever, so I guess we’ll see if they deliver or not.
They only ever said that in relation to games that don’t get optimized for One X. For those the additional RAM will serve as a virtual hard drive, leading to much faster loading times after the initial loading. Forza on One X is not one of those games.
The main difference will be resolution. Just because its going to be on 4k doesn’t mean the graphics settings are going to increase. You just going to see less Anti-aliasing. Like some on pointed out less pixelated/clearer lines. Load times might stay about the same. Unless they added a SSHD like the xbox elite did then you would get about a 10-20% increase on load times.
Cheers guys. Oh…was hoping for improved graphics really…more active real time reflections on the other cars and the trackside detail put back that was in F6 like the monotrain on that bridge in Rio on the last bend before the finish. A train travelled across it from both sides as you drove by…nothing on F7 though??
heh.
What if, the graphics are lesser, because MS wants to shoehorn in mixed reality headsets?
Haven’t in real life, but from the Youtube videos I’ve seen, the difference appears significant. The game looks great on my X1S and HDR shines, but on the XOneX everything looks so crisp I can’t wait to try it on Nov 7.
I have been told that it is significantly better looking and once you play the XBX version, the XB1 version really does look a generation behind.

You don’t have to play it on the Xbox One X to notice, the Xbox One version already looks a generation behind.
Half the time it looks like you’re playing with really poorly drawn Hot Wheels. Or the graphics look like somebody just drew it in so there’s little shading and light Reflections and color and everything looks matte.
Hopefully the x1x offers a great visual Improvement. My VGA monitor on my computer looks better than my HDR TV on the Xbox One.
You can get an idea of what difference it will be by looking at 4k youtube videos of 4k Forza Apex. It’s better but not overly dramatic. I have an HDR TV but not HDR xbox . The X will be faster to load compared to my current Xbox but with 4k textures might be back to where I’m at now or worse. Anyways, it’s worth it to me. Project Cars 2 is stunning at 4k. Forza is more toned down so will be just crisper looking I think more than too much enhanced detail.
