I wonder why some cool cars where deleted from the saga? Do you know any reason? Maybe some rights or license???
I mean Cars from makers in the game not Toyota ones
For example:
DMC DELOREAN
MAZDA FURAI
BMW M3 RACING PERFORMANCE
BERTONE
CODATONCA SPADA
and many more, I don’t understand why they were made reluctant
I’m in the same boat, even though we have received some fresh cars in the last 2 games thru dlc it doesn’t change the fact that they cut dozens upon dozens of good cars from each iteration until now. I would like and hoping they drop like a 10 car booster pack of cars that was in previous Forza games. Ones that would also fill up add to some good divisions like vintage sport GT could use the De Tomaso Pantera, Forza P2 could use the level 5 Motorsports Honda lola lmp2 and the Acura arx- 03b, hyper cars could use the SSC ultimate aero, Forza GT could use a whole bunch but the 06 Ford GT matech racing GT1 and the saleen s7r could definitely be added to balance the Aston Martin db9 GT1…so many good ones should be brought back.
Licensing may certainly have a role in it, but you also have to consider that Turn 10 can’t feasibly roll cars over from one iteration to the next … the game’s file size would be ginormous, meaning long download times and rediculous storage capacity requirements. To make room for new content, something has to go …
First of all: I think this belongs in the wish list post.
But to answer your questions: There are several reasons why car XY is no longer in the game. Most likely it´s the license for some cars, however for the Mazda Furai it is different: The car does not exist anymore, it has burnt down.
This can’t be used for all cars that went missing, but I can at least help explain why these cars are missing.
Probably licensing. The original DMC is dead; died with John DeLorean. After a lawsuit with his widow, a “new DMC” in Texas claims to be building 100ish replicas, but I don’t think production has even started on them yet.
Simple reason for that one.
SimBin (developers of R3E) has the modern DTM license now.
Went bankrupt.
Curiously, I couldn’t find anything about Spada Vetture Sport being sold or bankrupt or anything, but they haven’t revealed anything since 2012, their website is…barren, to say the least, and even their Facebook page hasn’t been updated in over three years. So, like the vast majority of boutique supercar makers…they’re [probably] dead.
Would be nice to see a return of the boutiques and concept cars though.
I’m amazed no one has mentioned the Chrysler ME-FOUR TWELVE. That car was an absolute blast to drive in the first and second Forza Motorsport games. It brings back great memories. That’s for sure.
