Ok first i want to say i love the physics and handling in forza 5 ,But from a wheel users stand point the force feedback is realy crap because there is none from 0-15 degrees. when i plug my Thtustmaster TX in to the pc for some iracing or raceroom thats force feedback . i dont mean it should fight you from 0-900 but its no resistance at all the firs 15 degrees you shuld feel something .Please fix this for forza 6
Adjust your deadzones, go to your forza profile → controller
Hi my deadzone is 0 , its just to weak in the center and then gets stronger like a rubberband and thats not the case on iracing ac raceroom etc , plugg your tx in to a pc sim and you know what i mean , its just bad poor programing of the forcefeedback , i love this game and a more detailed and proper ffb its a 10/10
Forza is NOT a race sim.
Was hoping after the release of the 1st Forza horizon (being even more arcade) that the Forza Motorsport series would try to be more sim-like. But we all know now that was not the case after the release of Fm5.
All we can do now is hope t10 will release Fm6 more focused on real racing and more realistic steering instead of trying to have a bit of everything to reach the mainstream gamer.
It doesn’t mather for them if the steering is realistic or not when they think crashing and wallriding is just part of the game. What else do you expect with tracks like the Alps, Prague, top gear and test track?
I’d hate to burst your bubble, but FM has always been aimed at the mainstream gamer, as has GT. You won’t find the same depth and realism you do in PC games, so you’ll need to go to PC to get your fix.
PCARS might change the way we look at console sims, but that remains to be seen.
The tracks you mentioned are fantastic BTW, minus Test Track. What do you find wrong with them? You feel the layout is not realistic enough? I’m lost…
I know a lot of people like Alps and Prague but I don’t really care for them. First of all, I don’t like street circuits to begin with. They feel claustrophobic with the concrete walls or buildings on both sides of the track. But more importantly, they are one-dimensional. They don’t test all aspects of driving skill or the car’s performance. No long straights to test your top end and no curvy, twisty parts to test handling. Install some grippy tires and put the hammer down. The Top Gear tracks are useless for anything other than comparing your lap time in a Kia cee’d to Jeff Goldblum’s.
Give me an actual real track designed by people that design tracks for a living over these fictitious fantasy circuits.
True , and advantage to use clutch on modern race cars with paddle shifters or sequential shifting such things can be really annoying . come on turn 10 , you can do it better and you know better
You haven’t raced online that much with fm5 i guess?
