FM6 Limited Collectors Edition

I realise this could go in the wishlist thread but i really wanted to find out what other Forza fans think.

I have played Forza since FM2. I have the LCE editions of 3, 4 and 5. I cant deny sinking disappointment with each successive edition.

I can only assume no one a T10 knows much about the sense of ‘special occasion’. That the new FM game on the Xbox one shipped with a bendy metal tin and a sheet of dreadful cheap stickers broke my heart. I believe so much of this relates to cost.

I have invested heavily in Forza over the years and i want something i can treasure. i am happy to pay double the normal game price for a proper LCE. Something more towards the FM3 that came with a branded usb and key ring. I would love a console skin or controller cover. Something SPECIAL!

Does anyone else have any thoughts?

With each successive release, I’ve been hoping for a die-cast model of the cover car. No such luck. Like you, however, I would seriously consider a sizeable expense for a well thought out Limited Collector’s Edition; especially with this being the 10 year anniversary of Forza Motorsport.

I feel really stupid now, i collect 1/43 diecast models…

I do the same except I collect 1/18 ones.

Yeah, I collected 1:18s for years, I had dozens.

I even made a used car dealership out of lego to sell 'em off at yard sales once or twice. Worked great.

A diecast model as an LCE bonus is a brilliant idea. They could make it the cover car, or even have a matching LCE exclusive car in the game (with cool paint).

Heh. Oddly, I do not. I would, however, like to see something which would stand the test of time as a memento that carries some sort of meaning; although I bought into the Forza Motorsport 3 LCE, a key ring and thumb drive with a Forza emblem just doesn’t seem to resemble that idea. As for the die cast idea, it’s a game about automobiles! What would make any more sense than a neat, little model car?

I bought the FM5 LCE but frankly I wish I had just bought a digital edition. The physical accompaniment wasn’t all that fantastic, and I have to keep the disc in the grindy drive. An ideal LCE for me would have a relatively memorable memento, such as a decent sized branded USB drive, along with a code to download the digital edition of FM6 and the bonuses. Otherwise a day one digital edition will do fine for me.

I liked the book that came with FM2.

I want an actual car with the LCE. I’m not talking a model, like give me a real 2016 Ford GT please T10.

Or some more stickers, I still have both sheets from FM4/5, love me some stickers.

If that ever happened, the price would probably be upwards of over 300 thousand US dollars, with much of the bulk being the car, so it would be tough to sell, not to mention the few cars being sold every year. It kind of reminds me when Codemasters gave off Grid 2 with a real BAC Mono for 100K British pounds.

Also, I think that the new GT is a prototype model, so such edition could be $300,000 wasted just for bragging rights that you own a supercar that hasn’t even been in production.

Sorry bout the double post, but hey…

How about this:

Everyone who pre-orders LCE FM6 could get the option to be entered in a raffle. Winner gets some form of Ford performance car that IS in production, like a Raptor or Shelby Mustang.

That couldn’t work.

Not that T10 doesn’t have the money (at least I don’t think), not that Ford would be terribly finicky about a raffled car, but because anyone can get the LCE, including but not limited to, children. In a typical case where a car is won as a prize, you have to be 18+ and have a valid driver’s license. For some, you can’t have any serious traffic violations on your record either.

Maybe you’re just being sarcastic, maybe it was just an idea that wasn’t intended to be taken seriously, whatever. I responded lol.

I think a die-cast model of the Ford GT would be an awesome LCE bonus. Or the car that’s on the cover of the LCE version (assuming it is actually a better car; has anyone noticed that the LCE versions of the recent games come with a less appealing car [458 to M5, P1 to RS7, etc.]?). My only question with the bonus is what of digital buyers? Would the LCE even be available as a digital copy? And if so, and a die-cast model (or any physical bonus item) was included, would they get it? And if so, how? I know FM5’s LCE was only a physical disk, but with seemingly many people saying “I’m done buying physical copies, hello all digital gaming”, that may affect what happens.

I feel my feeble attempt at sarcasm wasn’t noted

they are gonna build the new Ford GT, cause I am willing to bet they are planing to race it and with out a production car I don’t think there are many pro racing series if any that would let them run that car with out the car in production.

The idea for a die cast car sounds really cool, would definitely buy the LE for that. Also for Gran Turismo’s 15th Anniversary there were 2 LEs I think, one with extra content only and one that had a book, a model Nissan GT-R GT3 and some other stuff. Was the same for GT5, there was a more expensive LE with loads of stuff included too. Something along those lines would be nice for the 10th anniversary.

I would settle for a season pass being part of the $100 special edition…

Speaking of LC editions of Forza, since FM4 & 5’s LCE of the games had a different cover car (M5 & RS7) I wonder if FM6 will have a different cover car from the GT… Maybe a new Mercedes?

Either way, I hope the box is going to be chunky, at least the size of two normal boxes in thickness. It also better have some sort of memento, otherwise things will happen. And words will be said. And I will be very disappoint.

So many things used to come with older games, I too would give my money for a hard copy of a Limited Collectors Edition Forza 6. All my games on Xbox One are digital except for Forza Motorsport 5 LCE (or whatever it was called)

Even have a LCE with a manual with more than 3 pages in it then I would be happy.

Maybe include:

  • Track profiles
  • Break downs of tracks which show the development of that track
  • Music used in the game
  • Features that you may only know about by reading it.
  • After all it’s a 10 year anniversary so include information about all past Forza titles leading to Forza Motorsport 6
  • Again, 10 year anniversary. Include a poster or two (much like the GTA games)

There’s so many small things that can be included with a LCE of a game especially a motorsport game and this time around I really hope there’s something interesting that’s included.

Now add ten cars on the plan LCE and the day one version add TEN special Ivory version of regular content cars and the toy version of the cover on both version of LCE. And then you got yourself a deal. Reason I have not pre-order it yet. Because of LCE have not been announced yet

I liked the LCE version of FM4. The metal case was nice and I thought the book was pretty good. The stickers weren’t bad either. The VIP package was worth the extra over time as well. I like the idea of a branded USB stick, as long as it’s big enough to be really useful.
