Forza Motorsport 6 - DLC and Editions [Store End of Life Sept. 2019]

FM6 Cars, DLC, and Editions List

Updated August 2019: Forza Motorsport 6 will enter “End of Life” status on September 15. This means that the game and its associated add-on content (including car packs and expansions) will no longer be available for purchase. Players who own Forza 6 before that date will still be able to download and play the game and its associated add-on content as normal but the game and add-on content will no longer be available for purchase on the Xbox Live Marketplace. ^

FAQ: Is there a physical Limited Collectors Edition of FM6?
There is only one official physical edition of the game and it does not include VIP, Car Pass, or F&F pack. Prior to release some retailers in Europe were offering “Limited Edition” logo merchandise with pre-orders - see the Retailer Exclusives page for the list. The Limited Edition Forza console bundle includes a download code for the Standard edition with Anniversary Car Pack but no other DLC. Only the digital Ultimate Edition includes VIP and Car Pass and F&F pack, but other editions can be upgraded with these add-ons.

FAQ: How can I get everything?
In order to have access to all content you would need the codes for each individual pre-order retailer bonus DLC cars + promotional DLC cars + unicorn car gifts + Ten-Year Anniversary Car Pack + September Fast & Furious Car Pack + the six monthly car packs starting in October and VIP Membership (or the Car Pass) + Porsche Expansion + NASCAR Expansion + April-August monthly packs + any other DLC TBA that isn’t included in the Car Pass. Pre-order bonus DLC and promotional car codes may not be available post-release. The VIP, F&F, and Car Pass/monthly DLCs are available to purchase as separate add-ons and effectively enable you to upgrade your pre-order editions. As of August 2016, the most efficient way for new buyers to get all currently available cars is to buy the Ultimate Edition + two Expansions + April-August packs. See the links for each DLC for answers to other questions.

What is a Unicorn car?
DLC content is added to the game in a few different ways. DLC packs like VIP or monthly car packs can be purchased from the in-game Marketplace or Xbox Store, or by redeeming a code. Promotional DLC cars (like the pre-order bonus cars, or Nutri-Grain Ford GT) are added by redeeming a code and the model can be bought multiple times for your garage, but the DLC isn’t available to purchase from the Xbox Store (i.e. limited quantity). Unicorn cars are added to the game by free content updates and so can be used by all players, but only if they receive the model as a gift from Turn 10. Unicorn cars cannot be bought for your garage, and if you remove one you have the only way to replace it would be by earning it through a Turn 10 giveaway such as for Community Bounty Hunter and other events. Otherwise, unicorn cars are just like other cars in the game - you can race them, upgrade them, paint them, and download or share tuning files and design files for them. Unicorn cars are not included in available Rent options.

Free cars from Rewards, Gameplay, VIP, and Contests

FM.net News: FM6 Loyalty Rewards announcement - June 15, 2015
Forza Rewards Tiers update - July 31, 2015

Players can start playing FM6 with a specified list of gift cars for their garage based on qualifying criteria listed below. Reward gift car models are not DLC cars unless specified.

Forza Rewards
Forza Rewards is a loyalty program that tracks your activity across the history of Forza games. By driving, purchasing DLC, unlocking Achievements and performing other tasks, you earn cumulative points toward your Forza Rewards Tier. The higher your Tier, the more rewards you can receive every month. Often these rewards will be credits that will help you afford more cars. The first Rewards for Forza Motorsport 6 are free cars when you start the game. If you’re at least Tier 2 you’ll receive one car; if you’re Tier 8 you’ll receive all 5 cars. See the Rewards section of this website or the Forza Hub app for details, see stats on your progress, and redeem rewards.

  • Tier 2 - 2015 BMW M235i
  • Tier 3 - 2012 Nissan GT-R Black Edition
  • Tier 4 - 2015 Jaguar F-Type R Coupe
  • Tier 5 - 2014 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S
  • Tier 6 - 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4
  • Tier 7 - 2014 Ferrari #62 Risi Competizione 458 Italia GTLM
  • Tier 8 - 2014 Audi #2 Audi Team Joest R18 e-tron quattro

Previous Gameplay Reward Cars
Play these other Forza games to get the reward car added to your FM6 garage:

  • FM4 - 2009 Ford Focus RS
  • FM5 - 2013 Ford Shelby GT500
  • FH2 - 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Shelby

Previous Garage Count Reward Credits
Build your garage count in FM3, FM4, FH, FM5, and FH2 (Xbox One) to get these credits in FM6:

  • For each game with 50 - 199 cars in your garage, you’ll receive 100,000 in-game credits.
  • For each game with 200 - 299 cars in your garage, you’ll receive 1,000,000 in-game credits.
  • For each game with 300 or more cars in your garage, you’ll receive 5,000,000 in-game credits
  • (maximum potential 25 million credits for buying FM6 cars etc)

Previous VIP Reward Cars
Own FM5 or FH2 VIP membership to receive these cars in FM6:

FM6 VIP Rewards
FM6 VIP owners will receive benefits including “community gifts.” In prior games VIPs have received gift cars with exclusive custom liveries designed by Turn 10.

Contests
From time to time there may be contests run or sponsored by Turn 10 with gift car prizes. See the FM6 Contest and Gift thread for past and current opportunities.

17 September 2015 - Japan (disc and digital)

$79.99 Deluxe Anniversary Edition = Pre-Order Bonuses + F&F Car Pack + VIP membership
$99.99 Ultimate Anniversary Edition = Pre-Order Bonuses + F&F Car Pack + VIP + Car Pass + Early Access play.

Pre-Order Physical Editions
$59.99 Standard Anniversary Edition = Ten Year Anniversary Car Pack (+ retailer bonus DLC, see Notes)
This is the only physical edition available. There is no Limited Collectors Edition and console bundles only include the Standard edition. Some retailers in Europe are offering “limited edition” Forza logo merchandise (tshirt or hat or keychain) with the standard edition, and EB Games in Australia has a pre-order steelbook case with V8 Supercars theme, but none of these editions seem to include DLC for VIP, Car Pass, or F&F Car Pack.

Pre-Order Limited Edition Forza Motorsport 6 Xbox One Bundle
$399.99 Bundle = custom 1TB Xbox One console + custom wireless controller (3.5mm jack update, not Elite) + FM6 digital edition code + Ten Year Anniversary Car Pack code. Custom controller also sold separately. Releases 9/15/15. Does not include VIP or Car Pass or Fast & Furious Car Pack or Early Access; retailer bonus car may depend on the retailer - Amazon’s page currently shows the Subaru as a bonus - confirm with retailer.

Pre-Order Bonuses
Select bonuses depend on digital vs disc edition, and where the game is purchased.

Pre-Order notes and FAQ:

  • Exclusives: Early Access is only available to Ultimate Edition owners (digital only); pre-order retailer bonus cars are only available to buyers at those retailers and pre-order/Anniversary cars probably won’t be available after release but all players have access to the non-livery versions of those cars in game; logo merchandise seems to be only available with pre-orders at select retailers in Europe. VIP and car packs are not exclusive to the bundles - they will be purchasable by all disc and digital players as add-ons at release.
  • FM6 will not have a limited collectors edition.
  • The pre-order bonus DLC cars are duplicates of car models available to everyone, but with special Team Forza liveries. So the Hellcat etc is not exclusive. Retailer links are in the overview post below.
  • The Ten Year Anniversary Car Pack DLC cars are duplicates of car models available to everyone, but with special Team Forza liveries and upgrades applied.
  • The Fast & Furious Car Pack is currently bundle only, releases 9/15/15, pricing TBA.
  • The VIP pack is currently bundle only, releases 9/15/15, pricing TBA.
  • The Car Pass is currently bundle only, releases 9/15/15, pricing TBA.
  • The Car Pass begins with the October Car Pack and covers six packs, not necessarily all DLC to be released, pricing TBA.
  • “Select retailers will be selling the Deluxe & Ultimate bundles around Forza Motorsport 6’s launch. Please check with your favorite retailer for details, as availability and timing of these digital bundles will vary.” Announcement
  • There is currently no advertised discount price for VIP owners in other Forza games.
  • “You will be charged now, in full, for this pre-order. . . . No refunds on or after release date.” per purchase confirmation screen.
  • Early Access begins at 6:01 AM PST on September 10, all regions simultaneously (13:01 UTC).
  • Early Access provides the full game, and is not limited by time.
  • FH2 bonus DLC should be unlocked soon after digital FM6 purchase. See discussion thread.
  • Forza Rewards and Loyalty Rewards are not DLC cars - they are the same cars available to all players.
  • Forza Rewards points for FM6 are only available for playing it, not for preordering it. See T10 dev comments in the Forza Rewards FAQ about point count issues.
  • To gain access to all car models you would need to pre-order multiple copies of the game to receive all retailer bonus DLC and the Ten Year Anniversary Car Pack, plus obtain (separately or via bundle) VIP DLC for its 5 exclusive models + F&F Car Pack + monthly car packs

Pre-order DLC: Ten Year Anniversary Car Pack

FM.net: Pre-Order Announcement
Store Link “Available only as part of a bundle.”

This DLC pack adds 10 cars to the game roster. Each car features custom Ten-Year Anniversary liveries and is tuned to the top of its class. This pack was included with pre-orders of any digital edition of Forza Motorsport 6 as well as the physical disc edition where marked “Includes 10 Year Pack”.

MISPRINT NOTE: Some cards inside the game package incorrectly list the Ferrari 458 Speciale as included; this car is only available with the VIP Membership and Benefits DLC, which was only bundled with digital editions (Deluxe and Ultimate). Physical disc owners may obtain access to the 458 Speciale by purchasing the VIP pack as a separate add-on, but the car is not included in the Anniversary pack.

Ten Year Anniversary Cars

  • 2008 Aston Martin Team Forza DBS
  • 2013 Audi Team Forza R8 Coupé V10 plus 5.2 FSI quattro
  • 2013 Audi Team Forza RS 7 Sportback
  • 2012 BMW Team Forza M5
  • 2009 Ferrari Team Forza 458 Italia (black livery)
  • 2005 Honda Team Forza NSX-R
  • 2014 Lamborghini Team Forza Huracán LP 610-4
  • 2013 McLaren Team Forza P1
  • 2003 Nissan Team Forza Fairlady Z

Pre-Order DLC: Retailer Bonus Exclusives

As with previous Forza games there are exclusive DLC cars available for purchasers who pre-order one of the FM6 editions from select retailers (disc) or from Xbox (digital). The first car reveal list shows five cars as “Retailer Pre-Order Car” and one car as a “Digital Pre-Order Bonus.” These cars have counterpart models in the basic installation roster, but come with special Team Forza liveries applied and are listed in the game as separate cars. For example, everyone has access to the standard Miata while digital pre-order owners will have access to the regular Miata plus the DLC “Team Forza” livery Miata. A player would have to purchase a copy of FM6 at each specified retailer to to collect all cars. Retailers are currently only offering the Ten Year Anniversary Edition, which includes the Ten Year Anniversary Car Pack, an additional ten DLC cars with Team Forza liveries and upgrades. As pre-order bonuses these DLC codes may not be available for purchase from the Xbox Store after the September 15 release date. Xbox.com has links to retailers at its Buy Now page for FM6 but be sure to confirm with a retailer when you pre-order that your purchase includes a bonus or not. See this thread for discussion.

Non-DLC extras: Note that European retailers may package pre-orders with “Limited Edition” logo merchandise but this is not a Limited Edition of the game - they are only Standard Anniversary Editions, the only version of the game available on disc. EB Games in Australia is selling pre-orders in a steelbook case featuring a V8 Supercars theme, but it only seems to include the Hellcat and Audi DLC cars, not VIP or Car Pass.

Bonus DLC cars and their retailers:

2015 Mazda MX-5 with Team Forza livery (digital pre-orders only, any edition)

Promo/Pre-Order DLC: Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Battletoads Edition

This car was revealed by name in the August 24 Forza Garage reveal. Note that the car is listed as a Pre-Order (Gamestop) car alongside the Dodge Team Forza Challenger SRT Hellcat:

which is one of the retailer pre-order bonus DLC cars available at select retailers in various countries. Gamestop’s pre-order page for FM6 also listed the Audi TTS Coupe, and at release, each of the three codes was listed separately on the sale receipt with “Code Expires: 1/30/2016.”

How do I share VIP with all accounts on my console?
DLC is connected to the purchasing account. On a console with shared Gold, other accounts will be able to access the VIP cars without purchasing the DLC, but the VIP benefits (icon, bonuses) are only available to the account that purchased it. If the other accounts wish to purchase VIP for themselves they may see “Installed” in the dashboard Store with no way to purchase it there; instead log in to Xbox.com and purchase it that way.

Promo/Pre-Order DLC: Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Battletoads Edition

On June 16 Gamestop asked Facebook commenters to vote on “the opportunity to give the Challenger SRT Hellcat a special in-game car design.” and on June 19 they announced that “The votes are in and it looks like the Challenger SRT Hellcat will have a special Battletoads in-game car design. We will reveal the final design in August.” This car was revealed by name in the August 24 Forza Garage reveal.

Also note that the regular Challenger SRT Hellcat is available with all editions of the game, so buyers from other retailers or online will not miss out on the Hellcat, they just would not have the extra livery versions of the Hellcat in addition to the standard one.

October 13 content update

A content update of 99MB was released at 10:15 am Pacific time on October 13. This content update adds Dom’s Charger to the game menus and includes the following:

November 3 content update

FM.net News: Announcement
Forums: discussion thread

Launching the game on or after November 3 will prompt “Forza Motorsport needs an update” of 514MB. This content update makes the eBay Motors Car Pack cars available in the game as well as adding the Nissan GT-R LM race car for free to all players.

These new cars are not automatically added to your garage. The simplest way to obtain these cars and DLC is to go to the Find a Car (Buy Cars) menu in the game and select one of the new cars. If you own the Car Pass you will be able to collect the car for free to add to your garage; if not, you will be prompted to purchase the car pack. If you are only given the option to purchase the Car Pass, try rebooting your console and go through the same process. The Nissan GT-R LM may not appear in the Free Cars tab - look under Nissan where it may show only credits. Attempting to buy it will prompt a free DLC download confirmation screen, afterwhich the car will show FREE in the Buy Cars menu where you can buy it for your garage.
