Hi all,

Maybe this is a dumb question, but i’m having a hard time finding what a division of a car is when in freeplay. Right now, when I’m in free play, I select my car, then go to ‘stories of motorsport’ and look for the division that says ‘current car eligible’. Is the division indicated anywhere else, or is this really the most efficient way? I just can’t find the info anywhere else. Sorry if it’s a dumb question…
Thanks in advance!

I stumbled upon this very weird issue. It seems the car divisions aren’t always consistent throughout the game. There is a difference between car divisions for singleplayer career mode and those for free play mode / multiplayer custom lobbies.

For example below is the list of all cars you can buy/rent/use for the division “Compact Sport Coupes” in career mode. However the cars in bold are cars you cannot use when you start a multiplayer custom lobby, only set the car division restriction to “Compact Sport Coupes” and leave everything else to default. Singleplayer Free Play mode seems to follow the same restricted list as multiplayer does.

1995 Toyota MR2 GT
1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205
1992 Toyota Celica GT-Four RC ST185
1989 Toyota MR2 SC

I haven’t checked all other divisions but it seems to be there are 2 seperate division lists, one for career mode and one for free play & multiplayer. Or am I missing something here?

Another VERY weird issue is with the 2012 BMW Team Forza M5 car (from the 10 year anniversary car pack). In multiplayer you have both this car and the standard 2012 BMW M5 in the Executive Heavyweights group. However in career mode you only have the standard 2012 BMW M5 in Executive Heavyweights but the 2012 BMW Team Forza M5 is in the Ultimate Sport Machines division. That seems clearly wrong to have the normal car and TF version in separate divisions. Especially since the 2012 BMW Team Forza M5 is tailored to have 650 PI, that is the PI limit of the Executive Heavyweight division in career mode. The one from Ultimate Sport Machines is 660 PI and all the other TF cars always have a default PI that is the same as the maximum limit of that division. Bottom line is, the 2012 BMW Team Forza M5 should be moved from the career Ultimate Sport Machines division to the career Executive Heavyweights division since it’s clearly a bug where is it placed now.
