Car Type Divisions

I’m wondering how the Motorsports All-Star car pack will work out in the game. It seems to be unique so far in that aspect that it has about 10 GT racing cars in the pack. But there seem to be no other GT racing cars announced yet and I doubt any will be announced apart from what’s already in the pack.

So, considering how FH2 has every car in a proper car division I would assume in FH3 that is the case as well. I mean especially after all the complaints about FM6 having cars without a division I doubt PG would make the same mistake as T10 in this aspect.

So, how will that work out in the game? Will there be a GT race car division? Will there be events held for this division? What about people who don’t buy the car pack? Will they be unable to complete this division?

Or maybe the cars are just added without any events for them so that they are basically only used for free roam?

My guess is that they won’t have a class division.

If they do, chances are they’ll be their own thing with their own events, but I doubt it.

I’m quite curious to know what types of cars are in the game and how much variety there is.

I’might pretty sure that there will be Hot Hatches, Sports Cars, JDM Icons, Offroaders, Supercars, Classics, etc which come from the previous Horizon games.

But there are new vehicles as well; Dune Buggies, Trophy Trucks, Race Cars…

Any other new vehicle types in the game? Or would that be a huge spoiler…

Some divisions from previous games and groupings based on similar performance/body type (of the cars already announced:)

I am convinced those are indeed all the car divisions in the game, when he goes to the right to select offroad you see that offroad is not in the center but stays on the right side, meaning its the end of the list. I assume the list opened at the first entry as well with “anything goes”. What is even more interesting is that you can see how many cars of all divisions are available in that build of the game. When he goes to Anything Goes, you see 348 cars are available from the dealership. I wrote in your quote the number of cars in those divisions revealed by the video between brackets. He doesn;t hover his mouse over each division though so not all are known. Either way, the speculation about Porsche and Volkswagen can really begin now.

In your screen shot on a previous post, you can also see that there are 10 elegible cars from the autoshow for the “Offroad” division

They are now called car themes. And what is really nice, is that cars can FINALLY belong to multiple divisions!!! In the video for example the F-150 Raptor Race Truck belongs to 6 divisions :

offroad
American all-stars
heavy hitters
2010s collection
Ford
Ford vs Holden

edit - still seems they still have 1 main division though, which in this case for the raptor race truck is offroad. I think the other ones from the screenshot are extra filters on the car list, like for example the family names in FM6. Not what I was hoping for in my initial enthusiasm but nonetheless it’s interesting.

Following up on my previous post, I honestly think they ditched Volkswagen!!! As you can see in the video when he hovers over retro hot hatch there are 6 cars in that division in the build of the game they showed (348 cars total).

FH2 had 11 cars in the retro hot hatch division, this is the FH2 list and the cars in bold are cars that are not announced yet for FH3 :

1981 Ford Fiesta XR2 (confirmed FH3)
1980 Renault 5 Turbo (confirmed FH3)
1993 Renault Clio Williams (confirmed FH3)
1984 Honda Civic CRX Mugen
1986 Honda Civic Si
1991 Honda CR-X SiR
1981 Volkswagen Scirocco S
1984 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI (Golf Mk1)
1988 Volkswagen Scirocco 16v
1992 Volkswagen Golf GTi 16v Mk2
1995 Volkswagen Corrado VR6

As you can see 3 Honda’s are missing and 5 VWs are missing. But only 3 more cars will be in the retro hot hatch. I’d say RIP VW for FH3. So this Diesel scandal probably had something to do with it anyway even though other brands of the VW group are in the game.

And with the sports utility heroes I think we can assume that Porsche won’t be in the game initially either, what a big disappointment.

In FH2 this class had 8 cars, in FH3 that demo build has 8 cars in it as well. Here is the FH2 list :

2011 BMW X5 M (confirmed FH3)
2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV (confirmed FH3)
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT (confirmed FH3)
2014 Lamborghini Urus (confirmed FH3)
2014 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged (confirmed FH3)
2013 Mercedes-Benz G 65 AMG (confirmed FH3)
2012 Porsche Cayenne Turbo
2015 Porsche Macan Turbo

So at first sight you’d think with the 2 Porsches missing that is just the 2 cars the series is missing right? Wrong, because this has been announced already, we are already at 7 :

2015 BMW X6 M (wasn’t in FH2)

Then there is also these two :
1979 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser (announced already but I expect it to be in offroad)
2015 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR (not announced yet but I expect this one in as well)

Some people could argue that maybe Porsche will be in but both the Cayenne and Macan didn’t make the cut. I seriously doubt that, in a game like FH3 where offroad tracks are so common I would bet IF Porsche would be in, at least one but more likely both of their SUVs would be in the game.

aah yeah forgot to add those 10 offroad

What about 98 CLK GTR? It’s in Birth Of Supercar And Retro Supercars.

Birth of Supercar isn’t a real division anymore, the list posted earlier is all the divisions in the game. It might be a separate group though similar to Ford vs Holden, American All-stars etc.

Here’s how I’m guessing the cars will fit into the Type divisions, based on previous games and performance. I don’t see where the race cars in the All-Stars Pack would fit, so maybe they don’t have an assigned division.

Out of 6 Rods & Customs I only count 2 likely models so far. I wonder if they’re bringing over the Bone Shaker.

You have no idea how much i hope you are guessing right as it’s almost filling my “hope” list.
I would then only miss the 90’s ghibli, couple of others and some of the VW’s (especially the Type 2…)
(sorry for cutting partly your message,BTW)

Raaah 23rd september seem so far…

What do you think about the new cars announced, where would they fit in?

Manteomax, There will probably be some shifts from existing FH2 divisions to new FH3 divisions as well. For Rods and Customs I think about the Mercury Eight and the Ford DeLuxe as well.
It’s the same with the extreme track toys where you miss so many cars. It seems the normal track toys division disappeared so some probably move over from that one. Let’s just hope a Toyota MR2 is now not seen as an extreme track toy.

“Potential additions to Rally Monsters: MG Metro 6R4” I would seriously put more money on the Opel Manta 400. But I assume they are both in.

-Modern Super Cars (21 cars) LFA

IIRC that was an Ute, no?

About the lists ManteoMax wrote, first, you should add the Classic Mini and second how is a Volvo S60 Sedan a Hot Hatch?
