Hi, hoping someone can help me.
I am having a problem transferring the game save for FM3 & FM4 from a 16gb pen drive back to the original console that they just came from.
Last night, I thought I would attempt to move my Game Progress from our downstairs console in the living room, to to our upstairs one in the bedroom so that I would have access to everything up there. Game progress, vinyls, even the cars hopefully. However, to cut a long story short, I could not get that to work, so decided to transfer everything back to the downstairs console and leave things as they were.
When I tried to transfer everything from the pen drive back to the downstairs console, everything transferred fine apart from the 2 game saves, one for FM3 and the other for FM4. When I attempt to play the disc, if I choose the option to run from the pen drive it’s all good, but when I choose to run the game from the hard drive, the game is starting from scratch (apart from still having all of my vinyls) with my game progress, cars and credits all missing.
How do I get the game saves back to where they came from?
Hi again, sorry, just figured it out. I had chosen not to transfer the game saves back when it said they were already on the hard drive. All good
Since I am here, I don’t suppose anyone knows how if it is possible for me to have my vinyls and cars on both of my consoles at the same time. Not too worried about the credits. Thanks.
No, that would lead to disaster if you “duplicate” your game save content. Might even end up with a tampered profile, from which the only recourse is to start the game all over again.
You can have two separate saved games on the same console, however, they must be on different devices. However, you cannot again duplicate the contents. Contents must be in either one or the other of the save, and then you work on building up the “new” save separately. AND you must recover your gamertag from Xbox LIVE each time you move from one save to the other.
MAKE SURE when you’ve move your save from one console to another that you follow the instructions here: Xbox Support You NEED to re-download the DLC on the new Xbox 360 and get it properly aligned before launching the game. If you don’t you will get a quick message about DLC missing and if you continue any DLC cars in your Garage will be removed unless you have re-downloaded.
