A post was split to a new topic: FPS drop after Update 4
Hmmm, thanks T10?
What about to FIX the metric messures? HP, KM/H, Lb/f
fixing this could be a great update for FM
Regards
Well, the invisible cars/missing body parts, on AI cars in freeplay, still hasnât been fixed. For a while I was hoping theyâd fix the AI behavior, now Iâm down to wishing they would fix the missing car bodies of the AI. Seeing 4 wheels & a driver floating in mid air, is unacceptable at this point.
A post was split to a new topic: Endless load screen in rivals since Update 4
So in update 5 or 6 they can pat themselves on the back as the extra tracks as something the âcommunity demandedâ. This is an effort to appease Mother Microsoft who have been championing lipstick on a pig and subscription models as progress.
Play nice now. Thatâs lipstick on a cute a fuzzy bunny. You know the update is grate. We got a new track, (one we didnât ask for in the voting) some new (old) cars. And a couple of actual new cars. I think. And grate (yes grate as in grating on our nerves) if weâre nice theyâll do it again in another month. And we still have a bunch of (stuff we canât talk about here). And most likely some new (stuff we canât talk about here)
OK, letâs be fair. I think Daytona was 12th in line of most voted on tracks. So people did want it.
The problem is Turn 10 pretty obviously removed it and is now calling it new when it should have been in the game from the jump (and replacing that godawful Eaglerock, for Christâs sake).
Of all the fake tracks Forza has built Eaglerock is a total embarrassment to the franchise. It certainly should be removed from the game. And that remark comes from a certified circle track veteran.
And yes about Daytona at #12 but yes it should have been in from day one. They are just trickling these tracks in just to screw with us.
I think theyâre leading us into a paid subscription service game. Following the model of iRacing. If you want the track, if you want the cars, you buy the packages that have the bits you want.
Eaglerock is a perfect microcosm of the overall effort that was put into Forza Motorsport 2023. In any other game save for a World of Outlaws effort, Eaglerock would be an April Fools update or something that gets dumped into a community appreciation update three years down the road as a small token of thanks for all of the support. Itâs too short, too wide, and frankly just bad to race on. And no, cutting a potato wedge out of it doesnât make it a road course, Turn 10.
They have one, its called gamepass
I donât understand why itâs in the game, itâs awful and not interesting at all. Would have been better to just bring back Camino Viejo, Iberion, or Positano.
so they did nothing to fix the game⌠this is scary
yep⌠100% agree. very not cool. seems like 1 or 2 devs did this over their vacation.
The game is still, even after 4 updates, a single construction site.
I had a quick look at it yesterday and it still stutters in some corners in SPA, for example. Constant 60+ FPS on the track but after the long straight the right-left combo jerks and the FPS regularly drops below 20 FPS on other curves as well.
I have a high end system with a 7900XTX and only in FM8 it stutters, but as I said only in the curves on some tracks. It seems to me that there are massive problems with curves and height differences.
The Livery Designer is still a single BUG. When mirroring the decals you always have 1.5 - 2 units offset up or down or forwards and backwards. Also many sponsor logos and stickers are missing. The Ferraris, for example, show no manufacturer logos at all.
But what irritates me the most is that there are vehicles in the game that are plastered from top to bottom with sponsor stickers, such as Michelin, but these stickers are not to be found in the designer at all.
A lot has already been written about the AI, but nothing has improved after this patch. The AI is still not able to act adaptively or situationally.
Since the game still has performance problems and technical and concept weaknesses and these are not being addressed by T10, I see black for this game. I mean almost 6000 negative reviews on Steam say everything about this game. If you look at FH5 then you really canât believe that these two games come from the same developer.
The best were the two announcements with the long distance driving and now just with the Livery Designer⌠Long distance races are not implemented except in the free game and the Livery Designer is a single BUG and, as already mentioned, lacks many manufacturer stickers. It makes no sense if I stick something on my car from the area created by players, but then I can no longer share the template I created.
Who comes up with something like thisâŚ
Happened to me as well. I thought it froze but you just need to wait a little longer.
You have to limit your FPS to 60 or 75 FPS, else your CPU will cause stuttering. Because the game is a single threaded game that doesnât take advantage of multithreading. At 60 FPS all stuttering is gone for me, but i rather play with 75 FPS and 97% of all stuttering gone. 15 more FPS still feels a bit smoother than horrible 60 FPS. We live in the year 2024 we shouldnât have to play games at fixed 60 FPS anymore. Itâs ridiculous how bad the CPU performance is in this game. In Forza Horizon 4 and 5 i can play with up to 120 FPS in 2160p and get ZERO stuttering. But in the FM 2023 i start to get stuttering at everyting above 75 FPS.
I been ranting about this multiple times already.
Yeah itâs pretty terrible. I mean the bug fix list seems to be endless with the game so itâs probably not high priority compared to some of the major issues it still has.
Itâs very odd the reply system was broken in the first place. I imagine logging each car telemetry to play out again isnât the hardest part of the bigger picture unless they are having massive backend issues actually collecting the data.

Ovals donât belong in a track racing game. Leave them for indy and NASCAR games. Couldnât think of anything more boring to drive on
