FM needs to be further differentiated from FH

So I dipped my toe back in FH5 after playing FM religiously since launch and this is my firm conviction:

If T10 doesn’t differentiate more from FH, the series will die. No casual arcade racer in their right mind would pick FM over FH5, it’s not even remotely feasible. The Xbox platform however needs a proper car simulator and this is the market FM needs to fill. Many will choose ACC, but many like the variety that FM provides. But it needs more wheel support, more realistic features and modes. Being a sim-cade in a world where FH exists is not gonna move software or hardware. There’s also money to be made from steering wheels and other gear.

What they have done with Nordschleife in bringing the festival atmosphere to the sides of the track, the festival flags around the track, the night lights around the track, and the cartoonish look of the crowded tree-scape around the track. What they have done is open the door for Horizon to come into Motorsport. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Horizon 6 start mixing elements of Motorsport into the game. And to start seeing more festival features showing up in Motorsport. As it was once said of this new platform, it is easy to make faster adjustments to the game as it progresses.

“Welcome to the most advanced Horizon game, ever made. Our new tire model features 8 points of contact on each tire with a 240 Hz refresh rate, a giant leap in”, hahahaha. Ahhh man! Talk about p****** off the Motorsport community. What’s worse is the fact that it might actually be what the department leads claim it to be.

For once I agree with @Jittar. Motorsport used to be way more difficult than Horizon, but that’s not the case anymore.

100 agree guys they sold the best BS story if all that data is available let’s make a proper simulator Turn 10.
I was almost foolish in thinking you where going to contend with the other big boys Iracing and such.

The game is already dying, it has been dying since the first couple of weeks after release.
Why would anyone choose the kick in the goolies that is FM over the likes of ACC and similar games if FM tried to be a full on sim?.
Look whats happened to the game so far with them just leaning more towards sim, they’ve screwed up nearly every part of the game and alienated a large portion of their players.

Since part way through FM3 i have loved multiplayer, couldn’t wait to jump on in the evening and race like minded people and if i had a spare hour or 2 in the afternoons i’d be upgrading and tuning cars ready to race in the evening or I’d be doing some rivals.
Now i jump on once a week to do the couple of available career races and that’s it.

Believe me, and i really mean this, i would love nothing more than for the game to turn itself around and be a modern FM4 or similar but i just can’t see that happening, 4 months down the line and look where we are, a couple of new tracks, whoopdedoo.

I’ve been sayin’ The more they blur the lines, the more likely Motorsport gets cut
