FH5 Turning into FM

Is it just me, Or does it seem that FH5 is turning into a bad Forza motorsport clone,
I mean that more and more of the eventlab tracks are more like something that you’d see in FM instead of FH, with maybe NASCAR, Grand Prix, or F1 cars on them, And Apex Allstars and the new car pack is not helping any, I can understand that a lot of players are big fans of FM, But some of us chose FH because were not that interested in playing motorsport track based races, and prefer the more open Horizon style of racing

I’m totally agree.
Forza Motorsport it’s more SIM racing game and Forza Horizon it’s arcade (and that’s basic reason I’m using gamepad to drive instead of wheel)
Season event lab was real pain, I don’t like driving S2 class on track I can’t exceed 90 mph on the circuit got 90 degrees turns (or Ferrari shaped ones)
I’m really glad content creators making lots of effort to make those tracks, but with higher classes driving on it is not fun. Maybe next season think about lower high technical tracks to A and B class? It will be more pleasure enjoying twist and turns on lower speeds and also see all details of the track.

Yes but horizon is about freedom and what’s more free than a non street legal race car being street driven

Exactly mate…just my kind of words…driving those race cars in freeroam without a timer always ticking over the head like any motorsport game is the real deal…just make own race tracks n race on it…it feels real good…may we get more n more motorsport cars in future!!

I am all for them adding more racecars to horizon. Getting new supercar after new supercar gets boring after a while.

Me too, i love racing cars, and the sound of that Lexus RC GT3 is just a thundering roar that shakes the ground
Finally we have a proper realistic sounding V8 in the game

I don’t mind, there should be way more crossovers.

Imo the only difference between Horizon and Motorsport should be map vs race tracks. Everything else should be the same. Cars, customization, tuning, etc. All based on Motorsport because in essence this is still a sim racing game. I would even love to have an option to activate Motorsport handling physics in Horizon as an extra difficulty setting.

I wish Lexus RC F GT3 in Forza Motorsport sounded like it does in FH5… but I’m still not buying this Car Pack :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t mind the crossovers once in a while, But if you look at the way the weekly eventlab events have been going for a while now, More and more of them are turning into track based events with seldom if any map based events, Witch leaves those of us that prefer the map based events out in the cold, Especially when they dominate the weekly events, I’ve been playing Forza sense FH1, And I chose FH instead of FM because it was open world map based, And I’m sure I’m not the only one, I’m not saying to get rid of the track based events, Just tone it back a bit and don’t forget about those of us that came here for the map based open world experience.

Yes, i play horizon 90% of my gaming time just because it is open world…i fell suffocated in forza motorsport n other track based games like ams2,acc,dirt rally 2 or even dakar rally…driving race cars in free roam is the only attraction for me…i think i understand what you’re saying…r u basically saying that we need the option to add eventlab props in the horizon main map like buildling a city or a gymkhana?? if yes, we have a thread where we’ve just started discussing about that…

You can add me to the list of those who am not happy with FH becoming more like FMS. I really don’t like race cars in Horizon, nor do I like the track based events. I guess I could just skip those events and not collect the race cars.
