I finished my game in less than a week, 5 or 6 days of 19 hours a day but that was my choice. I got vacation coming up so I wanted to get out the way. Now i’m back to my regular sleeping schedule, I did take 2 or 3 days off work as well. Some like to take their time and explore the game, I rather complete all the goals and then explore other aspects. The seasonal events are the only new things I get and i’m perfectly fine with it
Time to move on then it would seem. If you’re feeling like you’ve done everything you want to do in the game. As for me and doubtless countless others I’m loving it and will continue to play and enjoy.
Things I’ve done:
Finished all the races (needed level 20 to unlock some)
Got all the bonus boards
Things still to do: (in no particular order)
Get all areas of Forza life up to Level 20
1000/1000 Gamerscore, 2500/2500 after DLC (meaning doing everything)
Finish all the stories (Can’t face the drifting one right now)
Owning every car
Fully perking up ever car (I’ll get back to you in 10 years)
Future:
Setting up my own routes to get Influence as quickly as possible
Complete the unlimited number of championships released in every weeks season change. 63 is meh!
Incidentally, although I loved every second of FH3 the only reason I’ll go back is to a platinum star level it for a 2nd time. Took me a 2nd playthrough from scratch to do everything.
I agree with the OP and telling us to find another game to play evades the issue here.
FH4 promised so much but actually delivered very little in terms of RACING content. I too have completed all the races available, most of the barn finds and all the showcases and stories/stunts, yet find myself in a deserted landscape with NO new content.
I’m having to race the same old tracks I’ve already raced already about four times as there’s little to no new content, so say I’m disappointed with this game would be an understatement, especially having paid nearly $60 for it.
Added to which, winning a pink hoodie in a wheelspin after winning a race is a complete turn off and is the absolute worst aspect of this game.
I dip in again from time to time to see if there’s anything new, but mainly just forget it as a complete let down now.
Arent you read rewiews, forza horizon 4 is best racing game not just best racing game of the year it’s best racing game of all time and other games dont come even close. You may ask how horizon 4 is best racing game, it’s easy we have seasons just like in real life. And what is even better we have sheeps oh and even better those sheeps looks different in each season, isn’t that so awesome. You may ask how sheeps are part of racing game, well there is good reason for that because you will see those sheeps a lot while driving our new awesome game mode team adventure, it’s so cool so we deside to remove solo adventure because nobody wouldnt play that because team adventure is so awesome you will love it. Oh those sheeps offcourse, we have new awesome race type what we call freeroam rush were is only starting line and finnish and you can find your own way to finnish line so you will see those sheeps a lot while driving thruw to fields and forest and lakes with your op jeep trailcat while driving s2 road racing series. It’s so good in freeroam rush and normal races you can just ram your way to victory, well you still lose that race because rng gives your team with full noobs that use hypercars in road racing series, noobs.
Oh i did say allready this is now more than racing game this is also lifestyle game, you can dress your avatar just the way you like it if you are lucky enough to win those clothes via wheelpins but dont worry we have new awesome super wheelspin that will give you 3 clothes at once, or some of our dance moves so your avartar can dance while waiting to race start. isn’t this game so awesome that’s why we have get so good rewiew in every place (well i maybe paid them little bit) welcome to your new awesome life with horizon 4.
It’s pretty clear this year they’ve put more emphasis on multiplayer and I think that’s great, but as a single player oriented gamer, is there really much else to do solo? After you’ve completed the extremely limited exhibition events, campaigns, PR stunts and all, what else is there to do?
If my memory serves correctly, there were hundreds of solo events, a checklist to photograph each car in the game and just seemingly so much more to do in Horizon 3.
Am I missing something or is this really all Horizon 4 has to offer the solo players?
You could make your own checklist of cars to photograph and submit them to the weekly Photocomps in the Community Events forum, and use the Blueprint and Route Creator to make hundreds of your own events.
I second checking out route creator now that those of us who map are starting to do more plus they put up a contest for them.
In the news and events contest section, there is a route creator thread. I just put up 12 courses. It may not sound like much, but try doing them on a harder difficulty without reverse. There is a few additional hours of racing alone. They may be short for play, but route creation can really add time making that course you love to run and run again. My one in the list called “Knights of the Round” took several iterations to get it how I loved it enough to submit. Considering an hour each time I ran it… that was probably a week’s of play if you include test running the tracks and multiplayer with friends for outside observer feedback.
How long did it take from launch until we got the option we have now to create literally millions of new routes? The only limit is how much time you have to create or drive them. This game has some issues, but out of any Forza title, this is the last one you can have a valid complaint saying that you have nothing to do … and this was added within weeks of launch.
Again, the game has issues, but the nature of some of the complaining on here? Mannn …
Now that we actually have the developers trying to make an effort to hear and address complaints, it would be nice if we could not sound like crazy people because they won’t know what to focus on fixing with all the noise. The situation with the trial seasonal events/now Horizon Cup is exhibit A. They actually changed the game based on the complaints but the complaints didn’t stop because the issue is that some people don’t like driving in a driving game. They like collecting things, achievements or in-game stuff, but driving is like an unwanted chore to get stuff.
And as far as the amount of stuff, there’s plenty in the game. We can compare garages. Finished at 70 cars? Done with the game? Driving games might not be your thing.
So I have aced all the Speed/Drift Zones, Speed Traps, Jumps, done all the story missions (not to 3 star though), beat all the races, whats left now? Do I just paint until the Expansion Pack comes out?
Route creator - make own routes or blueprints for existing races, have fun with other people’s blueprints, smash all boards, get all barn finds and beauty spots, take cool photos, paint and tune your cars, play team adventures, do head to head with other people in free roam, crack best laps and times on rivals (my fave at the moment).
There is stuff to do beside the obvious marks on the map, that’s why I somehow don’t get this type of complaint. My only slight complaint is the map itself, it kinda feels small - even when cruising with friends without a destination, we always seem to take the same roads, that’s why I can’t wait for Fortune Island but yelling there is nothing to do in this game is rubbish, because even if you avoid PvP like the plague, like I do (except team adventures), there is plenty to do.
I wish there would be separate record and leader boards for all the speed zones, speed cameras, drift zones and danger signs for each season as it is rather impossible in most cases to crack the record or even get near 3 stars in the winter (snow) or fall (rain) for example. This would be cool to have besides the 3 or 4 season championships we get every week, because, granted this is a bit lack luster.
I prefer to collect some credits to buy car that interest me, and drive it for every type of races, and creating my own livery, (sometimes making jokes on livery is satisfied me so much , and fulfilling my desire to show-off haha)…
Hold on a minute, there’s no new races coming up…that’s it.
I got this game for the upgrade from 2, which I’m still trawling through championships and this is done now? I didn’t realise I was getting half, no a bloody quarter of the game.
Shame, the multiplayer is fairly broken, with the silly penalties. I enjoy going through the solo championships. I should of read before I bought.
Looks like I won’t be buying anymore Horizons, damn shame.
No you shouldn’t, but stating that H2 has way more races than H4, even though the Blueprint Creator (which has endless possibilities) exist.
