Finally went clutch

I’ve been resisting using the clutch since I got the game. Its kind of difficult for my hands to work the clutch as I lack dexterity with my thumb. However, I finally got around to making it work for myself tonight. The difference is amazing. I’ve been knocking off 2 and 3 seconds from my lap times all over the place because of it. Picked up 3 top 100 times in the process too. A #88 at Yas Marina Full is the one I’m happiest about.

I’m pretty stoked about it. I’ve only used it in D class so far, but am looking forward to using it in C and B classes too soon. I should have listened to you guys a while ago and regret not doing so.

Only assist left to get rid of is ABS now.

i need to step upto the using clutch its how the fastest guys do it… i have similar problem with my thumb due to injury, do you have to loose of the gas to change gear with the clutch?

Nope.

Congratulations. Your times will only get faster. After a wile it will be like 2nd nature.
You won’t even be thinking about what you fingers are doing…

Awesome, Lou. I too was hesistant to use clutch but when they showed me how to remap the clutch to A so that I could hit the two buttons at the same time I tried it and it (mostly) works for me. I do occasionally get double-taps and missed shifts, but they are rare. I usually don’t notice the missed shifts for several seconds, too. “Huh, I’m in third? What?”

I’m new to this game and fairly new to Forza(just dabbled in it).I am going straight in with M with clutch.Ive switched the clutch to A button to make life easier

That button switch is a lifesaver! That and fixing the deadzones area key (at least for me they were!)

id definitely recommend switching clutch to a before you get to used to teh current layout makes it so much easier

using clutch is easier than i expected glad i did it now just moved up into top 500 a class on alps
