So When i start up my forza It loads in normal speed at 60fps and then as soon as it ends the last lego slide it drops to 1FPS and no matter what setting i change, or what application or overlay i closed it hasn’t fixed it. Wondering if anyone could help, thankyou
Specs, version, details? Throw us a bone!
Yes yes those would probaby help in a situation like this. Specs:
Intel core i7-9700k
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080
Radeon RX 480
32gb of corsair ram
dual 60hz monitors.
What makes this all weird is that you think my issue would be my computer just can’t handle it but when I first launch the game it’s stable and 100% gpu usage and getting up to 600 fps. Then after one certain slide in the loading screen it stops. Gpu usage drops to 0% FPS drops to 1. and then its just stuck like that.
Everything to the drivers from the game version to my windows version is up to date and at the latest stable release.
Wait huh? Lemme get this right, you have a Nvidia RTX 2080 AND an AMD RX 480? That’s kinda an unusual setup for a desktop, but I do understand that you can do this with multiple 16x PCI-E slots. What card are you running the game on? Do you have one card plugged into one of your 60hz monitors and other into the other monitor? Have you done any overclocking?
Your system can definitely handle this game (and much more tbh), although this does seem to be a possible bug in the LEGO expansion. Do you have any drops like this in the main UK map? Maybe the game is switching between GPUs, or just having the two cards makes it buggy?
I know you said you were up-to-date, but are you on Windows 10 version 1903?
Just a friendly driver helping out,

Thankyou for the reply! I have both cards and the 2080 only supports 1 hdmi so i have my main monitor plugged into my 2080 and my other one plugged into my 480. The game was always ran on the 2080 and nope I haven’t even overclocked my cpu. It’s weird cause a couple months ago when i still had both cards the game ran as normal. And i couldn’t say if its the lego expansion. I don’t own it cause i haven’t played the game since it was released. But the way the startup goes is i open forza and then i t laods into the main video and i press enter to continue and then i have the options to leave, change settings or continue. I continue and it goes through the first 2 slides normally with 75% gpu use and 500+ fps and then after about 3 secodns of the third slide it drops to 1 fps and 5% gpu use and stays that way. Like it loads everything and i can get into the game and drive around but its still at 1fps and its on mainland and island. i could make a video if that would help
Oh and i am running windows build 1809
So you never get in the game? Or you do, but that one loading screen only shows 1fps?

I can get in the game but it will be in 1fps and at 5% gpu use.
Are you still running both cards? If so have you tried removing the AMD card and driver’s and see how it functions then?
No problem! I love helping out here.
Ah interesting, if it worked before with the 2 GPUs it shouldn’t have an issue now I’d imagine. Edit: I would try @CRracer 912‘s suggestion though.
Oh, autocorrect must have hit you in your original post (lego) haha. So no issues from that should be happening.
Very interesting, could you check your video settings to make sure you don’t have a frame cap on? A video showing your issue would be very helpful!
If you could try updating to Windows build 1903 it may resolve the problem. The recent update works better with 1903 I’ve observed.

I hadn’t responded in a while cause I got distracted playing forza haha. Updating to 1903 worked! It’s odd because i had to go to the microsoft website and do this whole deal to update but hey, it worked and I can finally play again. Thankyou!
Good to know you got it working. Most people never come back when it works and we’re left wondering if advice helped, or it was another issue or whatever!
